Yes, I think Woodall was right when he said Buatsi needed to remember to get back to his boxing.
McIntosh got so excited he announced a premature curtailment of proceedings in the second act of the contest (as he might have put it.)

Nice little fight that was, Cuban won but it was competitive throughout. McCormack is only 21, would have learned a lot from this week, could have a bright future.Counter-puncher wrote:McCormack looks pretty well-schooled against a southpaw again. Two skilled operators in there
Re: Olympic hopefuls?
Disappointing performance from Ali. Had hopes for him to go far in the competition. Steve Bunce had Ali winning the fight.

Yeah well beforehand he was boasting about getting all his predictions right for GB. Trying to save face I reckon.Cholo_cws wrote:Disappointing performance from Ali. Had hopes for him to go far in the competition. Steve Bunce had Ali winning the fight.

Big upset today with London gold medal winner Katie Taylor of Ireland losing to Finnish boxer Mira Potkonen.

Taylor didn't deserve gold in London imo, I thought she lost her final but was always going to get it.JMac wrote:Big upset today with London gold medal winner Katie Taylor of Ireland losing to Finnish boxer Mira Potkonen.

Re: Olympic hopefuls?
Anyone know why a count is administered after a boxer is floored from a blatant low blow? What's the point of it?

Re: Olympic hopefuls?
Question for anyone who definitely knows.
Yeluessinov who got the horrendous cut in the middle of his head but made it to the final by being ahead on the cards, say he fails the doctor, he obviously gets Silver.
However, what if he passes the doctor but the cut opens up again, would his opponent win the fight by stoppage because the other guy came in with the damage, or would they go to the cards again.
Common sense says surely the other guy must win but having seen some of the decisions through the week, I wonder what they have in there wonderful rule book
