He certainly was from landing on his head however

I'd be impressed if someone got knocked out of the octogonklitoris wrote:BHop got hit clean, but landing on his head did damage to him that was decisive. If he stayed in the ring he would of probably recovered. I don't know if he would win the fight, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't get stopped.
But I have to say that must be one of the funniest and most dramatic ways to end your career. This is the type of sh*t that you can only get in boxing and you will never see in mma lol
Exactly, the only way BHop could get ktfo was to literally get ktfo of the fvcking ringklitoris wrote:BHop got hit clean, but landing on his head did damage to him that was decisive. Early UFC there were several fighters who were pushed through the cage door. I don't recall the promotion but I once saw a tall heavyweight scoop up his opponent and push him over the top of the cage. And of course many MMA organizations use rings so fighters getting knocked out of them happens infrequently just like it does in boxing.davie wrote:I'd be impressed if someone got knocked out of the octogonklitoris wrote:BHop got hit clean, but landing on his head did damage to him that was decisive. PC Kellerman didn't want to rip on him too much cause they're co-workerszorndeslammes wrote:Merchant would have obliterated Hopkins in that post fight interview. That's the way Boxing is today. That's why I would never ever bet on any fight. The judging is worse than it's ever been in my opinion. I used to at one time stick up for the judges..not anymore.zorndeslammes wrote:Merchant would have obliterated Hopkins in that post fight interview. I disagree. Judging has always sucked.MachoTime wrote:That's the way Boxing is today. That's why I would never ever bet on any fight. The judging is worse than it's ever been in my opinion. One judge had Hopkins ahead. The other two had it close. Hopkins only won the 4th round. Most of the rounds weren't close like in other fights. Yes in general the judging sucks. Especially this fight.Tanzio wrote:I disagree. Judging has always sucked.MachoTime wrote:That's the way Boxing is today. That's why I would never ever bet on any fight. Smith accomplished v BHop what Krusher could not v BHop or Ward.
69-64 isn't close. it's six outta sevenMachoTime wrote:One judge had Hopkins ahead. The other two had it close. Hopkins only won the 4th round. Most of the rounds weren't close like in other fights. My mistake then. I thought both judges had it close one had Hopkins ahead. So it was one for Hopkins, Smith close one round, Smith 69-64.babyjesus wrote:69-64 isn't close. it's six outta sevenMachoTime wrote:One judge had Hopkins ahead. The other two had it close.
