I really can't see this lasting past 3 rounds. Haye just hits way too hard and Bellew's upright stance and poor defence leaves him wide open to the straight right hand, a shot Haye delivers powerfully and rapidly. I think it'll be a KO similar to the one he took Alexander Gourov out with.

But Bellew is specifically training to avoid that shot and fight a negative fight, for the first 4 rounds at least.

We constantly see fighters looking bad against really negative fighters who don't come to win.

Bellew is coming for the 2 million. It's his cash out fight.

I don't think it matters. He doesn't move his head well enough to avoid that shot. Makabu caught him with it a couple of fights ago and I'm convinced Haye will do the same but with more devastating results. Just going into a shell doesn't mean you'll survive a load of rounds. Every shot Haye hits Bellew with whether on the arms, shoulders, head or body will hurt. Bellew would be better just coming out and having a slugfest in the hope that he can land a hail Mary punch than trying to ride the storm.

Does that mean every 12 round fight is a stinker?

Haye was guilty of doing next to nothing in that fight but i think the task dawned on him when wlad was across the ring from him

disagree. the next one, with AJ, is the cash out fight. look terrible against Bellew and who can justify that?

as far as Bellew preparing for the right hand? next you'll be telling me Chazez's opponents would have done better, if only they'd prepared more for the left to the body, or Buchanan's opponents should have thought about preparing to negate his jab. IE, they probably did do that, they just didn't do very well at it, cos they were up against someone who was better at boxing.

I was talking about Bellew cashing out.

Bellew has also shown he can stink out a joint on the backfoot very effectively.

I'm not saying Haye won't win. I just know how hard it is to fight a scared fighter who is fighting not to get knocked out.

For all his talk, Don't expect Bellew to take a forward step in this fight.

Wlad was equally to blame for the abysmal nature of their fight. I like haye, doesn't mean I'm going to pretend those two fights didn't suck. I've no problem with the short ones you listed.

I've just heard a new interview with Bellew and he sounds very negative about the fight.. This has reiterated my assumption it may go the distance. Bellew will play it safe and avoid engaging for the majority of the fight.

Both of them have been in there fair few of negative fights over the years. People are forgetting Haye hates to get into wars or trade punches with opponents. The difference here is Bellew will punch back and he can crack himself. Haye will only blast him out given Bellew curls up and lets him load up. Bellew may not come across as the brightest spark but I'll tell you fellas there is no chance Haye will be allowed to tee off, without Bellew throwing something back.

Haye talks nonsense and does anything to sell the fight. He is a businessman looking for his next pay day.

Haye talked a massive fight before fighting Wlad. He was going to malfunction the robot, he was going to box completely different apparently, and teach a lesson to Wlad.

Haye completely bottled that fight.

I was once a fan of Haye, but I've lost respect for the amount of terrible fights he's been involved in, and his choice of opposition has been shocking.

Agreed.

Bellew can move around and cover up all he likes, Hayes shots will be too heavy for him, even if they land on Bellews gaurd Bellew is going to feel it. He wont last long no matter what tactics he applies.

Not as bad as Bellew against Stevenson, now that was pathetic. Bellew is a walking contradiction moaning about Clev not coming to fight. He conveniently airbrushed his fights with Stevenson and Mckenzie 2. While not defending the Abdoul fight (easily his most boring fight), I am pretty sure he was looking to go the full 12 for the 1st time in his career.

Haye was actually known for trading too much and being reckless at Cruiserweight. He only became safety first when he moved up and started fighting guys who weighed 3 stone more than him and who were much taller. Bellew is a Cruiserweight.

Yep exactly bellew has had more stinkers than haye and haye went into peoples backyard and took their title off them not fought for a vacant title like tony "vacant" bellew. Haye is more exciting than bellew its as simple as that :TU:

Because he has never gone to someone's backyard and beaten them. He talks about being this great warrior and champion but he has had them all handed to him on a silver platter.

Had the makubu fight gone the distance he wpuld have been given the nod at goodison. He is a limited boxer who has been given everything to him.

Haye has earnt his stripes

You are correct, my point is that bellew has never had to go away and perform in a big fight. When he has v stevenson he acted the hard man and came out scared to do anything.

He portrays this hard man image but in reality he has had a very favourable career who in my opinion hasn't earnt his stripes the hard way. He has been well matched at cruiser and in the so called 50/50 fight he had it in his dream venue.

He now has to go to hayes heartland, and try to prove that he can go away in a fight that is stacked against him and not go into his shell.
