If McGregor had better conditioning, he could have won.
Risky? Conor doesn't even have good stamina in MMA.gilgamesh wrote:Floyd looked like sh*t early, but the way he turned it up I think it was the plan. He was banking on Conor getting tired. Risky strategy, but it worked.
For a guy that hasn't scored a knockout in 6 years it's risky to be banking on a KO victory. I don't care who you're fighting.Blodhemn wrote:Risky? He'd shown stamina problems before...if he hadnt, Im not sure Floyd wouldve taken it easy early on.DrunkenBoxer wrote:If McGregor had better conditioning, he could have won.
Floyd only gave away 2 rounds, it's not like he left it all to the 12th. Even if he had, he probably still would have got the stoppage.gilgamesh wrote:For a guy that hasn't scored a knockout in 6 years it's risky to be banking on a KO victory. I agree that Conor fought really well, relatively. Had him up 30-27 after 3 but I thought FMJ won every round clearly (including 4) after that.gilgamesh wrote:Conor did exceptionally well in the fight. I thought he won the first 4 rounds. Floyd started to really turn it up in the 7th, and really started working him over in the 9th and 10th.
Floyd stopped him in the 10th.
Conor looked completely out of gas after the 6th or so.
Not even a 0-0 opponent with mediocre MMA stamina? He didn't have to bank on it. Floyd usually starts slow anyway. That's his m.o.gilgamesh wrote:For a guy that hasn't scored a knockout in 6 years it's risky to be banking on a KO victory. I don't care who you're fighting.Blodhemn wrote:Risky? No. Just no.DrunkenBoxer wrote:If McGregor had better conditioning, he could have won.
Cards were lopsided for May?diddy wrote:Cards were a wipeout but Floyd looked old. Not a surprise since he is. Thats why he chose to fight a non-boxer. Floyd looked like he barely trained for this.

Everyone. McGregor, people of Ireland, boxing fans, Jim Gray, Rocky Marciano....SFW wrote:How so? Towards McGregor or whatalarmakool wrote:Mayweather was exceptionally humble and polite in the ring post fight.
He has punching power. His technique in Boxing is sh*t.x2x wrote:McGreggor could have won it, in fact won it easily, except he lacked one crucial thing - power in his punches, but that's something that cannot be taught.

That is to be expected in Las Vegas, boxing's - and the world's - most crooked city, or as they even bill themselves..."sin city".
I can't believe you wrote that.x2x wrote:McGreggor could have won it, in fact won it easily, except he lacked one crucial thing - power in his punches, but that's something that cannot be taught.
