I'm hugely biased to Paul but he was technically brilliant. His lifestyle let him down in the end, with tragic consequences. He was worse than Hatton for drinking and blowing up.
First time I entered the A.B.As (about 91/92ish) I went to get changed and saw paul Ingle in there also getting changed and sh1t myself hoping he hadnt moved up to bantam ! in hindsight I would love to say I had shared a ring with him, woulda been a hard night though !
Olympic year for him.
How did he do ? I can't remember it

He lost a close one to a Korean who in turn lost to Wayne McCullough, the eventual silver medallist.

barry jones vs acelino freitas. people talk a lot about the pound for pound hardest puncher, since that fight i have never seen such a disparity in power in top level boxers sharing a ring. it was frightening to watch. herol graham against anyone that couldn't tag him , he was mesmerising to watch.
paquiao vs margarito was a good watch.

on a local amateur level i once watched a lad that was undefeated after 23 senior fights not land a glove on a young irish lad that had come over with his club for a local event. the young irish lad was a south paw and never threw a left the entire fight from what i can remember .
his feet were tremendous and his right hand was accurate and had more than enough power to keep the local lad off him. i had his name written down for a few years afterwards, convinced i had just watched a future pro world champ, but ended up losing the note book it was in and can't even remember it anymore. often wondered if he even turned pro in the end.

I don't think we will. Saunders always seems to find a way to make fights hard for him. Miles up on Eubank - scraped it. Lee down and seemingly gone -majority decision. Some even thought that fight he had in a leisure centre should have been a loss and the Munroe fight was pretty ugly.

I think he should win but for me he's a guy who shows the odd flash of real quality in and amongst the fairly average.
