I only wonder why you didn't include the rematch between IBF champ Truax and James DeGale this Saturday. Oh, did you hear about Koki Kameda and Pongsaklek Wonjongkam? They will both come out of retirement for a rematch of their 2010 title fight which the Thai won by MD! May-5 in Tokyo. Novelty fight?

Forgot about Truax/DeGale... borderline fight I think, so no big loss.
Heard about Kameda/Wonjongkam.. it did cross my mind to toss it in somehow.

Some fights to consider:
May 2nd
Moonsri - Estrada (WBC Minimumweight)
Moonsri going for his 50th win (Matching Floyd!)
May 12
Sadam Ali - Liam Smith (WBO Super-Welterweight)
June 9
Santa Cruz - Mares (WBA Featherweight)
Horn - Crawford (WBO Welterweight)

Howabout Duhaupas vs Miller? That is a pretty evenly matched HW fight with title implications being a WBA eliminator...

Santa Cruz-Mares and Horn-Crawford are in, forget about the rest... Golovkin vs. Álvarez II is definitely off, JCS...

And the JBC did not approve Wonjongkam as Kameda's opponent.

For some odd reason he doesn't seem to like heavyweight fights, not sure why. They attract quite a big crowd and it's moneywise the fastest growing weightclass out there.

It's gonna be at super flyweight over 10 rounds! Chocolatito was slated to fight for the vacant WBO super fly world title, but now, it doesn't seem so...

No sure what reasoning there is to include Broner vs. Vargas. It's not a title fight and other than Broner fans or some mexican Vargas fans, nobody really cares about this fight. On top of that, its not a title fight between two overrated gate keepers who are not at the top of their divisions. Davis-Cuellar is also a mismatch but at least its a title fight.
If you are gonna include Broner-Vargas in the schedule I don't understand why you wouldn't include
Jacobs-Sulecki
Ali - Smith
Selby - Warrington (Which btw is a stadium fight in the UK!)

It is all about name power and ranking/title strength. Competitiveness a distant third.
Broner/Vargas is a true 50/50 fight, with longstanding top 10 guys. No titles, but everybody knows who these two are.
I may still add Jacobs/Sulecki. Unsure. Leaning toward not, because Jacobs is a huge favorite and well.. neither has big name power, nor is it for a title.
Ali/Smith worth a look on competitiveness and there's a belt... I probably will add this one.
Hadn't given Selby/Warrington much of a thought.
I'm in the US. I can't have true global perspective without erring on the side of inclusion, which means a ton more fights (and more work).. that's just a fact of life.

Apparently Wonjongkam got a fight scheduled and won it... trying to force JBC's hand.

How can Miller vs Duhaupas not be scheduled in here?
Because that fight is no where even close to being a top level fight?

Sadam Ali - Liam Smith (Cancelled. Smith out with an injury)
Some fights to consider adding:
May 19th, 2018
Gary Russell Jr - Joseph Diaz
WBC World Featherweight Belt
June 23rd, 2018
Josh Taylor - Viktor Postol

In fact, the Sadam Ali title defence has not been cancelled, he just has got a new opponent, Jaime Munguia, a Tijuanan light middleweight with 28-0, 24 KO. Kid's only 21 yrs. old.

Guys, gals... calm down, please. Its JCS' game, and if someone doesn't like it, nobody is forced to play. Oh, and by the way: Kameda - Wonjongkam seems to go ahead, but apparently without JBC's consent...

He's the rank 4 of the entire world right now, and fought the guy who gave Wilder his toughest fight in his life according to Wilder himself, what on earth makes you believe this is not a top level fight?
The Wilder-Duhaupas fight was a few years back. Did anyone really think it was going to be competitive? If anythng, Jacobs-Sulecki was more competitive.

It didn't qualify as a Big Fight for JCS. Certainly it was a noteworthy, even intriguing fight but a maybe top 5 vs a maybe top 15 matchup isn't really BIG, as such. Start including fights like that and the floodgates open up for the likes of Abraham-Nielson, Tete-Narvaez, even Skeete-Lajarraga or Menayothin's every fight to be included.

Because it's a classic, a rematch between two former world champions whom everybody knows and which could go either way.
