How Danny has carried on this long is astonishing. He was shot to bits and unable to take even a jab from Chisora back in 2010. So its amazing he has continued this long when clearly the punishment has had its toll on his health.

Wow Ain’t taking anything away from Lee I would never of said that.

I'm not quite sure how this was even considered to be a 'world title' fight. Lee McAllister stepped in at short notice last time out to fill a blank in a heavyweight fight. In my opinion that does not warrant a 'world title' fight next time out.

I hope a flyweight that fought in the 90's does not see this and think 'hello, im 15 stone now and have something left in the basement'.

I saw a couple of clips of this contest and it looked like Lee McAllister was repeatedly picking himself up from the canvas.

I saw the fight. As expected Lee was faster in the first few rounds, but tired badly from round 5 onwards. Danny was down in round 1, but I ruled it a slip. Down in round 3 from a good head shot. Danny was constantly pushing forwards and his weight advantage worked in his favour. Despite his best efforts he couldn't land clean / decisive shots. I thought the stoppage in round 10 was deffo premature, didn't like the way the corner quickly threw in the towel. Fight was filmed officially, so should up on the internet soon.

It’s made the BBC sport homepage. Biggest boxing story. McAllister being referred to as the first heavyweight champion to move up from lightweight. No mention of Williams form from the last god-knows how many years. But obviously mentions his Tyson win

What next for Lee? Will he try and fight Chisora, Bellew or Whyte?

Post fight Lee said his next fight WON'T be at heavyweight - sensible move me thinks!!

Why did McAllister actually retire back in the day? I know sky/Maloney wasnt happy when he quit vs Shafikov, was it just lack off opportunities after that? He was good enough for British once Murray vacated. Never understood why he just disappeared.

Injury or prison is the usual answer when a boxer retires early

Yes or failing the board medical ie scan irregularities etc

Probably all BIBA boxers have failed a BBBofC medical or knocked back by a criminal conviction or simply not good enough to compete at that level .

Imagine what the BIBA P4P top 10 would look like Lee Mcallister, Tommy Jacobs have been knocked back by the BBBofC due to criminal convictions & Danny Williams , Nathan Descastro & Iain Weaver have failed medicals which sums up the BIBA .
