If i find a decent stream ill watch it if not i wont its that simple really and i dont care who i upset for not forking out 15 quid. The only people that benefit from a ppv are the broadcasters and the promotor, the fighter wont benefit,he will be on an agreed fee
You've seen their contracts?
No av you? My point is they will get a flat fee. Any extra they want is greed imo, like i posted earlier Nigel Benn survived on 750,000 for fightin a killer in Gerald McClellan so these two can survive on their flat fee too :TU:
You're miles off here dude.

You think they are - the equivalent of £750k in 1995 is £1.14m, but what I believe he is saying is that you are wrong, main venters on a PPV are not on a flat fee.

Yeh, they’re likely to get a guaranteed purse of maybe just over £1m and then after sales, it might just hit £2m.. I don’t think they’ll be earning more than that..

I'm not interested in getting involved in a conversation about boxers pay with a man who doesn't know what flat fee means. Whatever you think is the answer, imagine I said that.

That would be more of a base plus a cut. Flat fee is just that. No % of shvt. Just the fee.

I seriously thought DeGale had chucked away his value along with the belt. Seems not, according to Eddie.
If he makes a good wedge without the belt, good luck to him, but in my view this is a nothing fight.
There is no beef, no belt, no real rankings at stake, no need for a PPV. And I ain't paying.

I’m not gonna call it a flat fee, i’m gonna call it a guaranteed base purse. They’ll make over $1m guaranteed definately. The PPV revenue, call it a bonus on top of their guaranteed pay.

So if the PPV don’t break even, at least they still get their guaranteed pay.
——

There are times though where boxers don’t get a guaranteed purse when a fight is PPV.

Ward was guaranteed $6m in the Kovalev rematch and Kovalev was not guaranteed a purse, instead he was just gonna get a percentage of gate and PPV revenue.

If Degale can't keep moving for the entire 12 rounds and outbox Eubank jnr, Chris will batter him for a points win.

DeGale by decision...

Eubank Jr is not a Super Middleweight... He might get away with against a decent fighter...
Buut against a top-level DeGale, I think he will be exposed...

Problem is that DeGale is far from his top-level. Eubank by wide decision, if not late TKO.

Such a strange fight.

They are Britain's most prolific boxers who both look like total amateurs in the ring. It's going to be such a poor display of boxing.

Eubank has never beaten anyone (AA was totally shot). Degale has lost to Groves (I had Degale the winner by a single point) Truax and I think it was Medina who I thought beat Degale too. Which was the biggest maniuplation of the compubox stats until Joshua vs Povetkin. Where Joshua threw and "landed" more punches in every single round than Povetkin did  .

Degale did have a close fight with Jack, Groves and Bute (imo). So he gets my nod but he does look totally finished now. Maybe not to the point where Eubank can beat him though. I think Gegale should have jumped ship with Jim Mcdonnell a few years ago.

They should bill this fight like the WWE. "Loser leaves boxing forever". As who ever gets beat in this fight really is done for. The winner though will probably rematch George Groves and he beats both of these.
