Whyte always invariably tires as the fight goes on that’s when he could be vulnerable ?

Until Ko Chisora in 2nd fight - he was struggling on the cards.

I think the proliferation/greed of PPV is driving fans to just adjust their viewing habits and watch it next morning online for free. That's what I do now. I get to see anything I want, for free, within hours. The standard PPV model existed before the internet, and it hasn't really caught up. I think it's an old fashioned concept, and there is simply no way to justify a Sky sports subscription, with additional one off £20 shows on top. I know the promoters' counter arguments but I don't accept it's right or fair. If Dazn was available in the UK I'd subscribe happily, and bin Sky sports.

Apparently the reason DAZN isnt available, is the exorbitant costs to acquire the rights to show events in the UK.

I might just use a VPN and then get either ESPN+ or DAZN. That way I don't have to listen to the likes of Smith growling like some cretin either.

I watched Rivas's last fight against Jennings but wasn't exactly bowled over by him, I still had him in front by a couple of rounds before he got the last round TKO and after seeing how bad Joyce struggled to land clean against Jennings on Saturday its a good win and a better showing than Joyce's, still even against Rivas it was a case of Jennings showing glimpses of quality but no quantity

Thought Whyte was losing the Chisora rematch before pulling out a highlight reel finish, Chisora had a couple of points off but I still had him edging things, Whyte was a lot more conservative than i'd seen him recently he clearly tried to box Chisora but found himself being outhustled, still a stunning KO from Whyte to end things

I think this will be a good fight, never PPV but thank fvck for Kodi coz i'll not be paying, Rivas looks a bit slow but works the body well, Whyte needs to be more aggressive than last time, I think he'll win on points close but comfortble

I am starting to feel that Matchroom / Sky are beginning a big(ger) push with Whyte due to new concerns with the longevity of AJ as a top tier fighter. Controlling the HW division gives immense power in the market and Eddie really was milking that hard. His attitude in interviews was literally "We have the money. We have the belts. We have the viewing figures. We have PPV controlled. They (anyone else) needs to do as we say and take what is offered"

Remember when Eddie would push that they had the only real TV deal as it was Sky or BN. Now there is a lot of alternatives. He then pushed hard that if you want to be on PPV in the UK, you had to go via them - there was that whole argument about whether he owned PPV on Sky or just Sky Sports PPV as someone (I forget who, must have been Warren) was trying to get a PPV via normal Sky PPV channels. Now there is a ton of other PPV avenues.

That smarmy a-hole really sat lording it up, and now he is just another (albeit still the biggest) player in the market and the gap is narrowing constantly.

The delay in announcing the AJ fight, considering "We have a water-tight contract and we put in all the terms for the rematch, we control it, we will announce next week", makes me think the team are seeing that maybe an immediate rematch is not wise.

Sooooo, I wonder if they are strongly covering the back door by hoping Whyte may turn out to be The Man afterall once AJ is (a) defeated again (b) needs longer to regroup and actually learn how to box beyond just following drills (c) retires as he has enough cash and knows his time has passed or (d) whatever else you can think of which ends with AJ not being the King they thought he was.

Eddie is smart, the king is dead, long live the king, he is trying to cover all bases.
He just has to worry about Hayman having all the champs

I’m going for my sins. Taking my little cousin and this is what he picked. Bought tickets off a local fighter and he had done his allocation with my purchase.
