They also reported that Wilder would have made up to $5m in that fight too.
That’s nowhere near $2m and a mere fraction the amount Eddie Hearn offered.

It seems that oogiebe lied, which is no shock!

It could just be the case that Ortiz is using that same drug to help his health condition. :maybe:

Maybe, but he is VADA CBP enrolled so doesn’t he get random out of competition tests?

Just putting this out there..

Ruiz's purse against Parker was reported to be $500,000.

I don't think he will be greedy and demand a high purse. He seems very eager and ready for June 1st.

Nearly all fighters enrolled in the CBP program don’t receive any form of random out of competition testing.

Enlightened-One wrote: 24 Apr 2019, 10:51 I agree that the most probable cause for Eddie Hearn's offer being rejected is most likely political. I also sincerely believed that Luis Ortiz was never the “Boogeyman” of the heavyweight division.

So I took the opportunity, rather dishonestly if I say so myself, to mock the Cuban for “ducking”.

I did this in order to be intentionally ironic, since the Cuban has rejected the opportunity to face Dillian Whyte on multiple occasions, as well as AJ, but yet many that frequent this forum will doggedly maintain that the “fearsome” King Kong Ortiz has somehow been “avoided” by the very best the division has to offer, when this clearly isn't the case.
Fair play to you for your admission EO. I don't think Ortiz is afraid of anyone and it's my conclusion that his reason for rejecting the fight is one of - or a combination of - (aaa) Haymon is blocking the fight because he doesn't want to allow anything that might cause DAZN to make a success of Joshua's US debut (bbb) He needs time to cycle off the pharmaceuticals (ccc) He's plain old fashioned stupid.

handsofstone wrote: 24 Apr 2019, 16:28 Ortiz said a few weeks ago if Miller was to pull out then he would step in for whatever money was offered, Miller pulls out and Eddie offers him 5 mill which is 4.5 mill more than he took for Wilder, now all of a sudden he wants 10, he's another cheating fake bullshitting phoney like the majority of them

Can anyone remind me why Ortiz deserves more than 5 or even 1 mill? He's a cheating pudendum whos best win is Jennings, he doesn't even deserve a shot he should be grateful, i'd rather see Joshua pull some Apollo Creed stunt and give Dave Allen a shot than that cheating fcvker a crack

Kownacki is still a pup so I can understand him biding his time fair enough but as for the likes of Ortiz, Fury and Whyte, maybe they should all get juiced to the gills and fight each other and the winner can fight Miller to see who the biggest cheating fvckker in the division is

Anoyne who claims to be a fan of a promoter needs their head examined but i do find myself sticking up for Hearn because guys like Haymon are a cancer to the sport, the guys never done an interview in his life and has a track record of stopping great match ups from happening yet people are so quick to defend him

If Eddie is so full of sh1t then why wont anyone prove it, he's the most public promoter in boxing, will answer questions on any subject, ive never seen Finkle or Arum call his bluff, just a load of vague nonsense, people were certain Hearn/Joshua were ducking Wilder, they called his bluff and Wilder went running behind uncle Al

IF you don't like Eddies personality fair enough, totally understandable but if your a fan of boxing then how can you defend these other charlatans

As for people hating on Joshua, the guys box office excitement 99% of the time he fights and has a CV that blows the rest of the pretenders out the water, the only guys he hasn't faced are the ones proven to be ducking
 I don't feel the same animosity toward Luis Ortiz but I do agree with almost all of that. Good post :TU:

Is that 5mm flat or can he earn the ppv revenue like miller?
how much more then 500k did he get

5ms great either way, i mean so what about wut miller got. lol so if ort doesnt fight aj but gets offered like 3m vs wilder for a rematch , is that suddenly a better deal then a 5m offer, because omg the 5m may be less then miller got for aj but 3m is more then ort got for wilder 1. btw hardly like its only ever haymon guys who get paid more then disclosed isnt it

'why does it matter what someone else is getting paid'

Are you honestly pretending that you didn’t make things up about the purse Ortiz received to face Wilder?

If I had made it up, I'd have used a bigger number. $2 Million doesn't make a case for Ortiz being low-balled to fight AJ. Ortiz' base was 500k and his residuals were much more than that. Word is that Wilder made close to $5 Million in total for that fight. Go find something to "refute" that. Isn't that what you would say?

I don’t have to prove a damn thing. Other people, including myself, have attempted to find evidence of your claim, but none exists.

So the only possible conclusion that any rational person can conclude is that you blatantly lied.

Also, when someone makes accusations or assertions, the onus is on them to prove the validity of their own claims.

By your own admission, you can’t do this, so therefore, you blatantly lied! :yay:

Ortiz has a net worth of around $20 Million. His share revenue from Wilder fight was never fully disclosed. I've read estimates from 1.2 to 2 Million in total. I'm sorry you are disturbed in the head. I really am. Now go and run along, sweetiepie.

An hour ago you asked me “to prove a claim” I made, which I did.

I then asked you “to prove a claim” you made, which you’ve finally admitted to being unable to do.

For some strange reason, you find my behaviour hideously unreasonable, but yet you deem your own conduct deeply respectable.

Why is that?
