It was a one of candidates for the fight of the year. As many, I picked Inoue to KTFO Donaire, but Nonito was a f*ckin' warrior, gutsy as hell. And showed a helluva chin. Actually, Naoya caught him early a lot. Those were punches like against his previous opponents and we remember, how they had been crushed. But Donaire just couldn't go down. Yes, he eventually was down by a body shot, but he stood up like f*ckin' Arturo Gatti. Donaire provided a solid counteraction to Inoue, a huge, huge credit to Nonito. He fought like a true warrior. And it was a massive experience for Naoya.

So you and the wife watch fights toughter? Awwh! A bite jealous.
It's all good. I do have to watch some of her favourite fighters, as in; I've seen every pro Katie Taylor and Clarissa Shields fight. Given that both are entertaining, ain't so bad. The devotion to AJ gets on my wick. Only because I'm jealous. Im more the supermarket chocolate bar, and he is the giant toblerone you get from the airport duty free :verysad:

Sensational bout. Thought it couldve gone either way with the judges but the right guy probably got the nod. Proved he's still one of the best and if he wants to keep going should target a rematch, if not retire with ya head held very high.

Great post.

Both the photo and the fight of the year - but there's still that unfinished business between messrs Joshua and Ruiz left.

Donaire deserves all the credit he gets. Apparently he was one of the first boxers to sign up for 365 days a year of random testing at his own expense.

How many of today's biggest names in boxing have done the same? And whyever not??

Good recap by Michael Montero here:

It would've been a total gift if Donaire got it, very good fight but Inoue clearly won
