I think she's a decent presenter. I'm not sure what the problem is.

She doesn't go to enough small hall shows probably. And isn't a man.

What a facile analysis.

She built up her experience at sky as a presenter on a number of different shows before being given an anchor position in one sport. That's pretty much the standard sky development plan for presenters...... male or female.

Exactly. But its virtue signalling quota filling liberal metropolitan elite cosiness apparently.

Seems like some people on this thread just can’t comprehend what a tv presenter’s role is. It’s not to be a fvcking expert, it’s to, erm, present the tv show to the audience. That’s literally it. No in-depth boxing knowledge required. No life-long commitment to the sport is demanded. That’s what the pundits are supposed to be for (although of course some of them fail badly in this regard).

She does seem to give "bj signals" as tyson booth calls them, in pretty much every selfie to be fair to him.

Counter-puncher wrote: 05 Jun 2019, 16:28 This argument might hold some water if any of the men already employed by sky were remotely competent, have you ever actually watched a Sky boxing broadcast? Just about every single one of them is a fvcking imbecile.

Smith, Nelson, Froch, they're fvcking morons, you don't need to watch some bird presenting to work out that a strict hierarchy of abilities isn't really at work to find their presenting 'talent'

Instead of complaining about the one half-competent bird I'd focus your outrage on (for example) the supposed expert analysts who can't pronounce the names of boxers they are watching and have clearly never taken the time to research before the night they see hem in the flesh where they are supposed to give expert opinions

Or Adam Smith coming out with sh1te that Bellews nickname isn't a reference to the Manchester bombing ffs

I find the idiocy of the men far more offensive than any token bird, at least she actually does what she's supposed to do (look fit), Froch can't even manage that (doing what he's supposed to IE provide expert knowledge and insight)
Totally agree, Froch openly admitted he thought a fighter would lose simply because he'd never heard of him, that is what we're dealing with. Ex-sports people are generally the worst pundits because sports people are generally morons, look at any Wayne Rooney or David Beckham interview, filled with ums and errs and all manner of cliches, so the ability of them to break down what they've just seen in a sports event is way beyond their capabilities, you need proper enthusiasts and journalists who specialise in that specific field to do that.

Look at Ricky Hatton, have you ever heard him speak? 40 year old man and he says "lickle" instead of little, my daughters grew out of that before they even turned 5.

Sky's head of boxing Adam Smith said he was hooked into boxing by the fan man incident, that says everything about him, he loves the sensationalism, plonker.

There's probably around 1,700 people who've looked at this thread without placing a comment. I don't know what there views are - but neither does anybody else.
But there's the usual group who believe that everybody thinks the same as them. Smith, Froch etc are hopeless EVERYBODY knows that don't they ? Well do they ? Every body agrees that having a female presenter, to comply with an equality and diversity policy is Ok because she's better than a lot of male presenters ,EVERYBODy knows that don't they ? Well do they ??

A repeat 1,700 people have looked at this and there's only 149 responses ,many of them repeats and some which are just filth.

When I first started on boxrec there were quite a few members who were actively involved in the professional game and we occasionally got 'breaking news' and interesting insights - they've all gone. Thanks to the the usual brigade ( and we know who they are ), who are continually back slapping each other because of another useless, bad -mouthed tirade.
Well I've better things to do with time. You can write whatever crap you want in response, I won't see it.
I'm finished with this forum I'll use boxrec in future only for results and fighters records.
