I really don’t know why some people are surprised about the type of opponents’ Tyson Fury is being forced to face, because let’s be honest, I can’t think of any world-rated heavyweights affiliated with Top Rank that are available (i.e. don’t already have fights lined-up or aren’t already waiting for their guaranteed world title shots).
Even if you completely ignored the political barriers preventing certain bouts from being made (i.e. Top Rank/Queensberry/ESPN vs. PBC/Showtime/Fox vs. Matchroom/Golden Boy/DAZN), there aren’t any decent world-rated opponents available for Tyson Fury to face.
For the record, I’m not defending Tyson Fury, because I probably won't make the effort to watch this underwhelming bout, but I do feel that people are overreacting to him facing Otto Wallin.

Not strange why Andy left cause of their weak matchmaking for their HW. And I haven't known any other HWs from then other then Jennings, Parker and Andy from Top Rank since the being of the 00s. And maybe Rivas???
Im just hoping that Otto gets some rounds and makes a good showing of himself. If he wins would be awesome then again Im also always rooting for Fury, so yeah life.
At least both guys are fighting :')

Wallin lost his father recently. He is using that as fuel.
Tyson should be careful, going into a fight with someone who has recently lost a parent.
The other Tyson found out many years ago.

We'll know that type of character Otto is on fight night. Just like with Buster Douglas.

I figure Wallin might last until around the 5th or 6th, but that's about the best I can imagine for him. He'll give an inspired effort, but ultimately I can't see him posing much threat to Fury.
What a strange thing for him though that he was supposed to make his debut on American TV against some non descript opponent in an opener, and is now fighting for a version of the Heavyweight Title in a major Main Event.

Wallin is about as bad as Schwarz, that said, Trevor Bryan would be as bad as them as well... Fury always fights top opponents or is in total mismatches, he never fights top 5-10 type of fighters or even top 20.

Wonder if this will be on the app again or regular ESPN.
Shame the UK are probably gonna have to pay £20 PPV again.

Actually, I think it is “linearal” and it is a disease that recently originated in the UK.

Fury in the shape he's now will fornicate up everyone you put in front of him.
The man has at least 5 years of his prime ahead of him. Given his physical attributes add a couple of years more where he will dominate if he chooses to.
Multiple big contracts on whichever network pays the most.
Of course he picks his fights wisely.
Again! Who of whatever you consider a worthy/top opponent was REALLY available and would've made sense in light of wilder rematch and/or challenging winner of ruiz/joshua (pulev) or whoever will own the fuck1ng straps then?

I wasn't really criticizing him. Seeing as how he doesn't have any actual belts he's under no obligation to fight anybody really. I just find the situation amusing.

Always Wonder how come that B side fighters in mismatches get several votes in the poll. I guess its always the votes of people who hate the A side fighter, in this case haters of Tyson Fury.

More likely it's people just taking the piss. They know it's a no brainer who wins, but it's a goof to vote for the guy that won't win anyway.
Either that or it's Wallin's 3 fans in the World

Its quality of fans that matters, not quantity
That is probably the same what Fury thinks about throwing punches...

It's funny that Bob Arum thought both Wilder and Fury are stupid for taking fights before their rematch, chancing loss for a big payday.
I'm sure he wanted a no hoper like Otto for his guy to assure a win. It would be funny as hell if Otto lands a big shot and KO's Fury.

This fight should not be sanctioned. Wallin hasn't ever even fought ayone ranked as high as #200 before. Where does Boxrec get off ranking him #47? I see many below him with much better credentials.

Nah i normally like Fury, except when he's engaging in gross mismatches like this and the last one. I voted for Wallin just to be different.

I feel you’re embellishing things somewhat.
For sure, there might be little doubt about the outcome of this contest, but it’s not any worse than GGG’s recent bouts against the likes of Steve Rolls and Vanes Martirosyan.
If you review the similarity between the resumes of Steve Rolls and Otto Wallin, you bizarrely considered GGG’s bout against the American as a “competitive fight” against a “decent opponent”, but yet you deem Fury’s contests against the Swede as being a “gross mismatch”.
Tyson Fury’s bout against Otto Wallin might be something most fight fans, including myself, would rather not see. It’s definitely not a “gross mismatch”, but it should at least be considered as a horrible match-up.
