Here's hoping for better planning with Channel 5's next show in a couple of weeks.

Good match for a proper title.

119-109 Pitters for me, I gave Sugden the 1st on account of 1 or 2 nice right hands over the top that landed in the upright Pitters, after that though Pitters outboxed him with minimum fuss, not a fan of Pitters really, he makes his height and reach count and he's awkward but would like to see use the jab to more effect and go through the gears more, he's boring to watch and always in sparring mode

Sugden got through with a few shots but that was literally it, Pitters done as he pleased which wasn't a lot but still enough to dominate scorecards, too one sided and one paced a fight to enjoy

I enjoyed the show but i cant figure out why we didnt get at least another Live fight, some pish on about George V and the Royal family :bag:

If they'd started it at 9pm you might have squeezed in three live fights.

Anyway well done Shak on the win

Next up the EBU European Super Feather Title featuring Samir Ziani vs Alex Dilmaghani :box:

I thought Pitters boxed really well and controlled
Considering Sugden gave Craig Richards a hard fight I thought Sugden would of gave pitters a scrap but pitters has a answer for what ever Sugden did I think pitters give most light heavys problems!

Groves had a hair transplant?? Couldn't take my eyes off it. :D

Decent entertainment all round i reckon. Challengers that have a go is not much to ask and that's what
they did. :box:

It’s great to have boxing on terrestrial tv again rather than having to pay subscription and ppv fees for some of the rubbish dished up by Hearn and Warren imo

It’s good to have boxing on terrestrial TV again but Hennessy needs to put on better shows than the one last night. An average British title fight as a main event and then Chamberlain against a journeyman as the main undercard fight. There won’t be many people who would have watched the show last night and will be looking forward to the next one.

I recorded it and watched it this morning. Glad I paid £20 for the Whyte PPV instead of watching it live.

Id think that would have done well over a million viewers

I’d be surprised if they got a million but out of those who did watch it how many will have enjoyed it? The main event wasn’t great and the undercard was crap.

Having channel 5 on a Saturday night is a great opportunity - I just find it frustrating that Hennessy is once again not making the most of it.

I though the main event was a decent watch and i enjoyed the rest of the highlights but id have loved to see at least one other live fight, if they started it live from 9.pm it would be a lot better.

I know they did a show last year that peaked at 2 million viewers.

The show was ok, nothing more nothing less IMO. But Channel 5 could have maximised what was on offer and that they failed to do.

They just seemed to spunk the time away pointlessly and not treat the viewer to the best options. Farrar, Groves and Woodhall were decent enough, but Channel 5 missed a good opportunity to package the evening a lot better.

Yeh, instead of showing reruns, we could have gotten a decent 4 hours of boxing.. from day 8pm..

I think they could have packed it all into the 2 hours they had to be honest. They got cracking with the main event, but it was hardly a classic, so move on sharpish when it finished.

Wasted time building up Chamberlain's fight, showed about 10 seconds of Michael Hennesy Jnr's 6 rounder and I suspect that was fight of the night.

You'd think that Channel 5 would know what they were doing more now. They've been showing boxing for some years.

I watched it on catchup TV tonight. I enjoyed it, although I agree with the other comments saying they could have had another hour showing the other fights instead of some reruns. Pitters and Chamberlain came off well in their post match fights, I will be looking forward to their next bouts.

I never enjoyed the fight but to be fair to Pitters he dealt with Sugden a lot better than Richards

Dude got dropped, shoulda had that kd counted , in which case if you take the rest of the fight like it is, you've got another draw for little Mick. One things I like about him---of 5 fights 3 of them have been within a point. At least you get competitiveness. The fight he had in Saudi was good too.

Watched the Michael Hennessy jnr fight last night and it's a decent novice 6 rounder. It might not set you alight, but it's a good fight.

Thought Hennessy won clearer than the 58-57 scorecard.
