600,000 people in a year without lockdowns or huge societal change . This doubles about every 4 days without intervention. at that rate UKs gos from 10k cases, to 10 million cases in about 6 weeks. of those about 10% die once the hospitals are overran. and yea it kills predominately very old people while hospitals are fully functioning, but once fully over ran, healthy people start to die at a pretty decent percentage. If you want to see how harmless this is when hospitals are at 500% capacity look at Italys Deaths vs recoverys. its about 50-50. when was the last time you went life and death with a seasonal flu?

If this dosent kill hundreds of thousands of people, its not because its a mellow virus, its because people changed behavior, locked down, and/or incredible medical reaserch efforts were made.

I’m presuming pro boxers are struggling to train if they can’t go to boxing gyms and can only leave the house for 30 minutes exercise a day on foot.

Not heard the 30 min rule , new one to me .

You could imagine sportsmen and women across all sports struggling with fitness , but I should imagine those at the top of their game would have some kit at home .
It's down to self motivation then.
Bet some heavyweights will be massive by the time this is all over .

It's 20 minutes exercise outside a day , alone too so can't see that being much use to an athlete

The three pros I know personally are running and training very hard as usual. Just going long runs and cycles, doing pads, abs etc. Only difference is no gym so no sparring. Boxing doesn’t need much equipment.

You've kind of got to feel for the pro's that are around 33 years old and on a good run. If they end up not fighting again for 12 months it could really impact on their ability to cash out before ageing really kicks in.

Yes , could get "old " overnight and if this thing last for that time could spell the end .

It won’t be 12 months. Fights will be back in June/july. Not sure about the small hall shows tho because they run on ticket sales

Well at this point nobody knows how long the lockdown will last. If China ends up with a second wave it could end up being a hell of a long time.

Geez that is terrible. His Dad was filmed in a jokey Twitter post just 6 days ago, telling Anthony he could be prosecuted if he goes out for two runs in a day. Shows how deadly this thing can be!

It’s serious, we all know someone who’s considered high risk, and we must all be feeling nervy about it.


On a lighter note, I haven’t seen anything about length of time outside. I thought it was just once. We’ll see who wants it the most in a few months on Instagram when everyone’s back in the gym 2 stone over fight weight.
