Fun fact is that he fought at super heavyweight division during his amateur career. He fought Robert Helenius, for example.

Didn’t know that .. just had a look at amateur results and see he also fought a prime Price in 2008

Just watched a short documentary on YouTube called Lawrence Okolie Next In Line.

It was good - had interviews with the previous British Cruiser world champs (McCrory, Thompson, Nelson, Maccarinelli, Haye and and Bellew) and they talk about what winning the title meant to them.

It’s only 20 minutes or so and it’s worth a watch.

I've rewatched some Okolie fights (it wasn't a pleasure), he's nothing special, Głowacki should win it unless he is totally past his prime already.

The Pole is a good fighter, the Englishman will be making a statement on the world scene by winning this

Yeah - I've only seen 3 that would stand as good fights.
Hopefully they'll get better when the strength in depth goes up - Ali has got better for sure..

My god this is poor. Is it just me or do female MMA fighters seem a lot more skilled and rounded than female boxers, generally speaking?

Yep, she's rubbish.
Ramla has improved on her first showing too. Showed a little bit of power that I didn't think she'd have.

Yeah 3 minute rounds she would have stopped her.

Should have been stopped after the 4th. Poor affair.

I thought the same when I first saw the fight made. I then looked at Ali’s amateur record and heard Connolly only had a weeks notice and thought better of it.

Ali has a lot of amateur experience to be fair to her.

Shoot me for saying it as I rate Billam Smith highly but this Czech guy looked good on the scales and his record looks deceptive to me. 8kos of his 9 wins, only losses on points.
