True true. But over the years he has gleefully mentioned Spud getting done by Paul King on numerous occasions which is a bit snidey given King being a violent bully and Spud being harmless enough, Lightsoot has always been quick off the mark with a strongly worded post though.
You've hit the nail on the head, Jimmy. I'm glad someone else has noticed Eric deliberately trying to invoke others to belittle Spud, who is battling his own health problems right now. It's repetitive and unnecessary, particularly when the example being referred to here is Paul King, the lowest of the low who is pure scum.
Eric - the only 'issues' I have is trying to tolerate snide pudenda like you who trot out the same material in the hope of getting a rise. And while I only occasionally frequent this forum these days, that doesn't stop me from calling people like you out for what you are. So stop acting ignorant and shut your cakehole, unless you've got some VHS tapes to flog.

I'm not surprised this Spud tosser got a hiding. If his posts are anything to go by, it's not too hard to see why someone would decide to give him a couple of right hands.

Classy touch, especially after what Rhino has just mentioned about his health.

I just received a call from Eric Guy the first time he has called in perhaps 15 years. Suffice to say the call didn’t last too long.
In the entire time I have known Eric he has been consistent in that he has belittled everything I have got up to in boxing.
Eric you are not and never have been a friend so please do not call me again.
For avoidance of doubt, I have health issues in that I have had Parkinson’s for 8 years and each month it gets worse. Not that for a single minute do I want or expect an ounce of sympathy from my “foes” on here.
Finally, I do find it amusing that people continue to strive to belittle my 20 years in boxing ... whilst its true some jobs I took on were simple and mundane ... I have to say all work I took on meant that I lived the life in boxing that 99% of boxing fans dream of ... so I really want to thank all those who helped me in my journey in the sport.
Finally, thank you to Lightsoot, Real Deal and Rhino and others for your kind words there is no need.
My my this thread has gone on!!

Does;nt matter where in the world you go boxing has its helpers ,, wether its mam and dad helping out at an ameteur show , , be it the world championships or a local ameteur night in out back Australia , , the ameteur shows survive on help from boxing fans , mams dads , uncles and aunties , its needed and its appreciated ,
Pro boxing , well it is what it is its pro but it still needs helpers , wether these helpers get paid for picking up fighters , at the airport , or running them around from hotels to weigh ins , ect i, its irrelevent , its usually a job that lots will put there hand up for , because they get to get in the shows , if there lucky meet there heroes , and in some cases actually become mates with there heroes ,, course it can lead to some helpers getting a big head and starting to act like there actually the fighter or promoter , but thats life , its human nature , just laugh at it .
But overall , its just a thing people do and others are more than willing to step in and take over , ESPECIELLY if doing it for a Hearn or a Warren , but it really is sad when people take jelousy to the level where there jelous and critical of the bag handler , Ok some get there by licking ass , some because there mate is someones uncle , whatever ,, but really to be jelous and critical is a bit sad , Good on Spud , or anyone else if thats the way they choose to live there life , and manage to get to the position they want to be in , wether thats driver , bag handler , spoon feeder whatever ,, its all down to what they want in life and if they have acheived what they want ,,
Go to any show and theres plenty willing to jump in and do whatever spud done , he was just the one doing it at the time , he lived his dream , so good on him , my dream would'nt be to carry Mike Tysons bag it would of been to get in and spar him , everyones different

No. What makes you say that? Eric has been filming fights since way back when and Spud has been driving, whipping, etc on the scene since Julius Francis v Mike Tyson (if memory serves).

Spud, whatever anyone says, has had an incredible insight into boxing at all levels. A friend of mine was speaking to him at Riga airport on the way home from Usyk-Breidiss and couldn’t have been more compliments.

Just a stab in the dark. The comments of one seem to set up the other one perfectly for what they want to say.

Spud has put some great posts on here, I never get why we bash anyone on here when they offer up insights and stories we love to read.
keep posting Spud.
Same for you Eric, not come across you much on here but if you have been in boxing that long then post some stories.
Let bygones be bygones, forgive and forget, life can be short, whats the point. Spread the love!

agreed, anyone who really knows me, I am a genuine guy, who has a great sense of humour, done more than most, if I have a story to tell, i will tell it, as I was there when it happened, I dont have hidden agendas, I too have health problems, dont need sympathy, however, if people think i have an ego, or am arrogant, that is their view, they dont know me, I can tell more stories in boxing, I am writing a book now, i will give snippets, people can ask me anything, I dont shy away from anyone,

I spent about 9 months at JHQ whilst going through my divorce.
Biggest concentration of women in the army at the time. But alas most of them were gay.
I think the best club was the Queensway club ... even the RMPs used to go there, I thoroughly entertained myself having the odd fight with them.
I was gutted when I got posted from there to Paderborn which was a right **** hole.
