As it's King, Lovejoy probably didn't realise he'd signed.
Lovejoy take free promo
into his eyes i see fear, pussy
he allready lost the fight
I'm not really serious about King - though you never know with him.
I think I agree with you, pussy.

Eddie on IFL referring to Don King as “a man of principles” quite how he maintained a straight face I’m not sure...

It’s not a Heavyweight fight unless King is somewhere in double denim waving the United Nations collection of Mini-Flags about.

fight is off, im sure there could be a replacement found. There must be loads of boxers that are in training just to keep themselves sane.

Lovejoy has a promotional contract with Don King that he didn't tell anyone about and DK blocked the fight. Hearn tried to strike a deal with him but evidently couldn't.

I really want to see the Chisora/Usyk fight but even as a PPV mug, I'm struggling to find justification to pay for this show.
I've no idea who was at fault for the Allen/Lovejoy cancellation but if it's because of Don King that would be tragic. He shouldn't have any influence over this sport anymore, he's yesterday's dinosaur.

Lovejoys fault. If he declared it at start it wouldnt be an issue

Mark Bennett took the fight as late replacement but his medical couldnt get sorted out. Thats a crying shame, Mark said his bag was packed ready.

Bet there's a few that would have taken it , I suppose it's stuff like medicals that simply can't be sorted at such short notice .

Its a bummer really, I'm not sure Bennett after a long layoff could have beaten Allen as hes got a decent chin but its a decent payday for the likes of these guys who are struggling to get ring time.

Shame, in normal times I guess Mark Bennett would have a had a BBBC valid medical and would have been given his shot, But as he hasn’t been in the bubble and had the covid tests he can’t fight.

Allen could have fought a replacement but didn't want to. Vallilay was offered, but he said no.

Instead we get the endless poor Dave Allen story.
