McCall was as tough as they come, but going for bust puts you in the danger zone far more than his weird meltdown tactics that he resorted to against Lennox.

Was just in a silly mood when I wrote that mate, there's no doubting Eddie worked like a trojan to get Fury/AJ made, and it was a right kick in the nuts for him as much as everyone else. I'm actually looking forward to AJ vs Uysk, It would take a career best performance, something special, for Uysk to beat AJ and I do think maybe he has it in him to produce such a performance. If not, he'll get worn down and stopped. How do you see it going ?

That's why it's taking so long. Eddie constantly states AJ faces all his mandatories, but forgets to mention they do it on his terms. No split and rematch clause inserted. Its basically not a mandatory.

It depends. If a deal’s done for a mandatory pre purse bids then it can/probably will have a rematch clause. If it goes to purse bids then it won’t.

He shouldn't be allowed to. What's the point of having rules if your promoter can buy his way around them. He will be on a 70-30 in his favour in the rematch even if he gets chinned.

Usyk will make far more in this fight than any other before. Same with Pulev and the other mandatories that didn’t go to purse bids. None of them are forced to do deals - they all choose to. It’s all part of the rules, everyone knows they have choice to either do a deal and get the fights, or go to purse bids with a risk that AJ vacates. Also never heard of any AJ mandatory kicking off about the way they were treated either so it’s not like they’re being short changed or messed around.

Hearn/AJ do it to keep control and satisfy their broadcasting deals - nothing wrong with that as the other side of the deal can always just take it to purse bids.

Who knows. They took the fight with Bentley but Williams is a couple of steps ahead of him. Cash probably needs a couple more interim fights before fighting Williams I would think.

Why on earth there should be a rematch? A mandatory defence. Joshua isn't an undisputed champion and even doesn't have a long defence streak. Corrupt f*ckers, you can just pay now for the rematch on a case of a loss.

There’s nothing corrupt about. There have been rematch clauses for decades. Usyk was seemingly offered a deal, that included a rematch clause, that would have been better than what he thought he’d potentially get from purse bids.

Usyk has chosen to take this deal - nothing’s been forced on him. If he wasn’t happy then he could have just taken the 20%/25% purse split.

September 25 basicaly garrentees AJ only fights once this year. real shame that. Still think they have shifted it so far back so that if Fury gets an easy win they can ditch this fight and try jump to that fight.

Does anybody else weirdly back Usyk in this? I've bitched about his performance against gatekeeper Chisora being unimpressive, but there was definitely a moment towards the end of the 7th (I think?) that Usyk could have knocked Del out but didn't capitalise.

Maybe Usyk was holding back? AJ hasn't fought like a fearless killer since he knocked down fat slob Ruiz in the first fight and then immediately got chinned. Since then, he's fought very carefully and protected that chin, against let's face it an obese millionaire blob in Ruiz (who got hurt by shite old ex contender and journeyman Arreola in the first two rounds than he ever did against KO artist AJ) and the aged corpse of a guy who once walked chin first into Wladamir Klitschko, forcing him to have a vaguely entertaining fight; A pathetic old man who literally ran away from him in to the arms of the ref who refused to wave it off and let the farce continue for a few more overly cautious rounds despite the fact that Pulev had already waved the white flag earlier on.

Depending on the odds, I might stick a few quid on the cruiserweight. Usyk didn't like the Joyce fight, because while he might have won it would definitely have put some miles on the clock. Without Joyce in the way first, I give Usyk an excellent chance of upsetting AJ.

AJ is an instagrammer, a tweeter, a brand, a male model. He's quoted as saying something along the lines of "we don't watch full fights. We watch highlights. It's a generational thing." That's offensive to me.

I'm not only English and come from a mixed raced family, but I'm also a born Londoner. I'll be very happy to see AJ, the product, lose again. Usyk can do it.

There's a multitude of reasons I don't like AJ. Let's just say that I would love to see AJ-Fury at Wembley, and that's why I want AJ to win. But otherwise, I hope Usyk chins the racist, media trained, pound note chasing horse-faced c*nt.
