I'd rather Martin than Arreola. If they're going for a reasonably well-known American that would be available for that date then there's also Washington, Breazeale and Bryan. I think Martin and Bryan would be the better opponents to be honest.

White vs Ruiz jr? Surely would be easy to make for Hearn and it’s better than a 40 year old Arreola.

Arreola is still a decent fighter, lost on points to Ruiz after dropping him and set a record for punches thrown in his previous fight.

He is a good talker and will sell the show, is well known in the states, the fight will be entertaining but at this level low risk, win win!

why would it be easy for hearn to make? ruiz is a star for pbc now. whyte isnt a big usa name and he's risky for ruiz too

Worked with him before… will get a decent purse… and it’s winnable for Ruiz. What other fight makes more sense for Ruiz, too?

I think that is the point, Ruiz Jr. is a risk too great for Whyte in September. That is the very best option in America though; well known on both sides of the southern border.

Whyte needs a big win to get his name on the radar for a title shot… Fury and Joshua tied up and the nest way is to get himself mandated and fight for a vacant title. What other fights would get him mandated? Parker, Ortiz, Pulez? I’m not so sure.

pbc loves to match their guys in house, they still have a lot of guys to keep the ruiz train going while it still has some steam. if pbc is gonna put ruiz in a high risk fight, i imagine theyd go in house vs ortiz, or wait until wilder-fury and then match him vs wilder in a fight between the 2 biggest name usa heavys

before ruiz beat aj, ruiz had little fanfare or barganining power, now he's got way more and is headlining his own ppvs, it's not gonna be easy for eddie to get him as eddie pleases anymore

I meant busy as in throws a lot of shots, not one of these lazy plodders. But as you said its been a while since he fought and my memory may be deceiving me.

Not great tho this… a fighter that’s seemingly halfway into retirement and not fought in nearly two years.

Oh!
Whytes team not gonna risk him with a KO artist.
Last time out 2019 Franklin went the distance (10 rounds) with Sour, whereas Gorman put him to bed in 2 rounds. I never saw the Franklin Vs Sour fight, but I watched Gorman demolish him.
A paper opponent? :maybe:
20-0 with 13 KO's seems perfect.
PPV anyone?

Franklin isnt trash, but it is important to remember he should of lost to Rice (draw at a stretch).
