Meanwhile, Cuba is already a winner in boxing. No one will surpass them with Gold medals.

La Cruz was good

Torrez can do nothing different that will trouble the big guy and should get KO'd again.

powerful gal yafai captues great britains only mens gold, at flyweight

looked good for sure, but he's turning 29 soon and that is absolutely ancient to turn pro at his weight, was maybe bit flattered by being an almost 29 year old guy vs 20 year olds, 22 year olds, etc.....so not sure what's next for him

The Bulgarian girl put a masterclass on the Turkish one.

Khyzhniak vs Sousa is up next, after the awards ceremony for the little guys.

im gonna say it now: sousa wins a very questionable decision...........all these games the scores in khysniak's fights have seemed too close while sousa gets the benefit of the doubt

Khyzhniak is always dominant enough to avoid robberies and get at least a SD. He'll win.

When the brackets came out, it was clear that the semis fight between Khyzniak and Marcial will dertmine the Gold medal winner. It was also evident in their performances.

Well the fight was in Russia, the moment he was KD in the second round, it was almost impossible to win by decision. minus the KD, he landed the cleaner punches.

Khyzhniak was winning wide, but Sousa lucky punched him. Acknowledging that, the ref could at least give a count.

A disappointing situation. Sousa was winning eveybody close or arguably, Khizhniak was overwhelming everybody. Khizhniak looked like the man of the division, but then a one punch, no count and that's it.

Khyzniak only fights 1 way. If he only fought the 3rd round the same way Yafai did.

Sousa-Khyzhniak reminds of Chavez-Taylor. A one guy was visibly winning and given no chance by a ref after getting knocked down close to the end.

Impressive run by Sosa, Amankhul, Bakshi and Khyzniak... Nobody wouldve even picked him to medal...

It’s one of the myriad reasons why pro boxing is better to watch…but in today’s amateur boxing when a guy is stumbling around like that after a KD, they are going to stop it.

This will probably the last Olympics of this 4 Khyzniak, Bakshi, Marcial and Sousa. Who will have a successful pro career?
