I'm not going to look up his Dad's post fight ramblings. What was the gist of what he said?

I'm sure I read an interview with Porter where he said he wanted to fight Crawford or retire. If he's already thinking like that I can see why they stopped the fight, so that he could finish on his feet and go back to his lucrative pundit job with a big wedge of cash from this fight in his pocket. No sense in getting your brains scrambled at this point in your career if you're already more than halfway out the door and onto different things. For what it's worth, I thought the first knockdown was very similar to the one Porter suffered against Broner when he switched off in their fight, and the second wasn't much worse. But I guess this is a guy who has lost a few times already, and one more loss isn't going to hurt as much as when he starts slurring his speech in his 50's. He acquitted himself well in his final bout and doesn't need to give us any more.
He said he had to regrets over stopping the fight because Porter hadn’t listened to him and hadn’t done the right thing in build up.
Thanks.

I've got a Dad who will never be happy no matter how well I do. I think a lot of people have. I suspect multimillionaire Shawn Porter can probably get over his crabby, bitter Dad's huffing and puffing in the same way most of us do. It's a shame his Dad is like that though.
Isn’t that just dads.

You could turn out like Barrack Obama and your dad still wouldn’t be happy, because you didn’t do it exactly how he would have done.

I wasnt too far out with my prediction.

I'm sure wherever my father is, he's looking down on us. He's not dead, just very condescending

it was a good fight , porter started well got on top won i think the first few probably 3,1 till the 5th , i dont crawford was ever really troubled tho ,i do sometimes feel he starts a little slow, but when he lets his hands go he is class , power precision he needed the ko and got it, to make a statement, i dont think porter was badly hurt when it was stopped and i thought he was still in the fight on my cards ,but i dont think ctawford would had let him see the final bell, good win
