😂 Who knew we could get onto 6 pages of a thread mainly debating the health of an American announcer.

The surgeon he mentioned is very highly regarded. I’ve not got time to watch him on Tris Dixon so can’t speak about his personality just seemed very far fetched what he said about his injuries Vs his recovery.

In 2017 Diamante made a very similar and equally dubious claim.
That’s despite barely surviving a nearly fatal motorcycle accident on March 10 in San Francisco. The accident resulted in breaks in six places, five in arm, a tibia fracture, abnormally large bruises, countless hours of physical therapy ...

And a miraculous recovery that saw him riding again less than two months later ... and calling games two days later.

“The doctor said he’s never seen anything like it,” he said, puffing his custom blend of cigars titled ‘Diamante’s’ in his Brooklyn Cigar Lounge in Fort Greene. “I still feel pain. The arm will never be the same – I was lucky to be alive. My arm actually broke off my body – the meat alone was keeping it on there.”
Come on. He's obviously a pathological liar......

All I can say is, if he’s telling the truth in both these incidents, he should probably consider giving up riding his motorbike. Can’t seem to go for a ride without ending up in critical care somewhere on the verge of death.

Apparently it was just hanging on by a piece of meat...... he then explains that 2 days later he still called a basketball game with his arm in a sling. The doctor said he'd never seen anything like it

Yes but his wolverine like powers of recovery and his legions of adoring fans mean it’s water off a ducks back to him.

I disagree. It’s possible to have your arm fall off and get back announcing and playing basketball 3 days later.

Jokes.

I have no clue whether what he said about his recent accident is genuine or not but this certainly doesn’t look good for him. Perhaps he comes out with a similar story every few years.

🤷‍♂️

Despite the sh1t hair and repeating surnames I've always liked Diamante, he's far better than the current version of Buffer, I've seen a few of his interviews and he's clued up on the sport top to bottom and clearly does his homework, I'd be disappointed if he's been bullsh1tting but it doesn't look good

In the age when everyone's on the mental health/drug/alcohol sympathy bandwagon I'd be surprised if Matchroom etc went along with the charade
