he's just one of the big dogs at the top, he's not the ruler of all the others yet though. 1 top 10 opponent in 6 years, with another undefeated unified champ around, aint cutting it. maybe he'll actually put together a title reign this time around, we'll see

If I think of Heavyweights with great chins Fury isn't one that springs to mind, incredible powers of recovery though no doubt, it really is that simple surely no?

That's an evening with Fury event. Which he's paid a lot of money to do. It's not a nightclub!

Rahman was obviously a puncher, well known as a puncher, and thanks to Lewis' stupidity Rahman was able to load up and land the punch of all punches.

Perhaps go to YouTube and refresh your memory.

Wilder knocking out, uh... Audley Harrison? Bermain Stiverne? That chinny Pole? 40 year old Ortiz doesn't exactly establish him as the all-time killer hitter you need him to be to bolster your hero's credentials.

Now watch whom Wilder failed to KO and whom Rahman failed to KO in order to finally get educated on this subject. :TU:
It's a bit unfair when one literally only KOs tomato cans

His biggest win is over a 40 year old man
Even more emojis won't make your delirium convincing as an argument.

Rahman wasn't able to KO about the same opposition, including chinny guys like Maskaev. He's not on Wilder's level of punching power.

i definitely think wilder hits harder than mccall and rahman but they were both better boxers and fury probably does have a better chin definitely better powers of recovery than lennox but in the same circumstances lennox might have got up from wilders punches and fury might not have got up against mccall or rahman’s punches we’lol never know but it doesn’t mean either are chinny because fury’s been down a few times against smaller men or lennox got knocked out i’ll prepared and not focused that punch rahman landed would of knock down a horse and if you look through boxing there been many knockouts that you wouldn’t of thought happening happened

Hopefully with Whyte looking as if he will get the fight against Fury he deserves in early 2022 we will be able to see who is correct about Fury.

It's a pointless argument discussing Lennox chin against Fury's chin .. ultimately there will be no comparison because they fought different eras so not facing same opponents.

My own opinion is that Fury is the best of this era; and this era is terrible!

No doubt this thread will be revisited in a couple years and one argument will have been proved embarrassingly wrong ..

you telling me lewis was 100 % focused or more bothered about being in oceans 11 instead of training and not taking rahman seriously and arriving later than he should have done to south africa ??

Very unprofessional if that's the case. Tyson wasn't prepared against Wilder 3 but gutted out. I guess that is the difference between the two.

did the fact fury won the 1st fight even though they called it a draw and then battered wilder in the 2nd maybe make him a bit complacent for the 3rd fight which was pretty much a foregone conclusion in the eyes of most proper boxing fans - apart from a few Deontettes of course .

Err, you said yourself Lewis got off the floor to beat Akinwande. Plus I suppose he was hurt against Briggs and Bruno, but stopped them too.

Why wouldn't Fury have been prepared for Wilder 3? It was the only paying gig he'd done in a year and a half at that point.

Maybe having a child in special care a few weeks before the fight was more important than filming a crap film?

Come on Mick, I'm pretty sure you get my gist. The boozing and what goes with it were the determining factors in his last trip off the rails.
When people come back from that, admirably like he did, they can't fall back into it without being scathed.
That was, and is my point.

I don't think anyone needs to tell me about drinking. I've spilled more than Tyson's drunk. He wasn't pissed up there. He did 15 nights, probably around 30k a night. He wasn't out partying.
