Gill told Eddie his eardrum had gone. Kinda explained why he had to keep leaning on the ropes in his corner.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑27 Feb 2022, 16:42That’s was almost as amazing as Jorge Castro John David Jackson
Blows my mind how gutsy some boxers are.

Good dominant debut.
On a separate note, what are these little handbag things that Kal Yafai and Frazer Clarke seem to be wearing??

Is Sunday night boxing going to be a regular thing with Dazn or what?
It's very weird.

I think it’s because they didn’t want to clash with Taylor/Catterall.Fightnight Scores wrote: ↑27 Feb 2022, 16:45 Is Sunday night boxing going to be a regular thing with Dazn or what?

I’ve enjoyed a bit of Sunday night boxing though.

Same. I thought he gassed a little at the end of a couple of his Olympic fights. Not badly or anything but I was wondering how he’d be with the distance. He seemed relaxed, varied the power on the shots nicely and was pretty composed.KiwiRider wrote: ↑27 Feb 2022, 16:41maverick23 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2022, 16:37 Perfect debut fight for Yafai. Someone tough who is trying to win. Nothing wrong at all with it and Gal will take loads from it (shouldn’t have so little respect for his opponents shots).
I’m already buzzing for a potential fight with Martinez.![]()
Been buzzing about this Yafai turning pro for months. I feel he is the best Yafai.
They should get him out every 8/9 weeks and step him each time. I wonder who benefitted more from their debut. Yafai against a tough Mexican who came to win or Clarke against an out of shape fan who’d never had a pro fight

Adesanya in the crowd for his nigerian bro Okolie, I suppose

I like the yafai's. Seem like decent lads.

Same although my wife wasn’t happy when I told her I was watching boxing on a Sunday evening.milpool wrote: ↑27 Feb 2022, 16:46I think it’s because they didn’t want to clash with Taylor/Catterall.Fightnight Scores wrote: ↑27 Feb 2022, 16:45 Is Sunday night boxing going to be a regular thing with Dazn or what?

Gawd, Fraser Clark was matched way too soft.maverick23 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2022, 16:47Same. I thought he gassed a little at the end of a couple of his Olympic fights. Although I thought Clark was lucky to come away with a medal. Bit of luck of the draw.
That is the gulf in between this card and the card last night. Been some tough fights tonight.

Far out!
Joshua looked slim. Like his head was too big for his body.
Bob Mortimer would call him "snipers dream"

Needs another 3-5 fights like that over the next 12-18 months - and to go 12 - then he should be in pole position to take on aging Choclatito for all the marbles. ..

Always think olympic guys should be able to step up quick and get the fights they deserve. but 30-0 world champs dont want to fight guys with 10 or 12 fights.
i still think if i was advicing a friend or family member Id say they should just smash bums to bits once every 3 weeks to build a fake record. especialy at fly where theres cheap opponents on tap through asia and central/south america. Even if you just get 10 fights in 7 months then start with the real fights.

This card has cheered me up no end after last night's dire undercard and bollocks decision
Re: Round-by-Round: Lawrence Okolie vs. Michal Cieslak - 27 February 2022
Okolie coming in with AJ and Adesanya with the nigerian flag, as I have said...
Re: Round-by-Round: Lawrence Okolie vs. Michal Cieslak - 27 February 2022
I'm not sure Okolie has enough speed to be throwing those lead rights.
