Well for the record Henry. Everything that I'm hearing out of Usyk and his team is that their only real interest is Fury. I don't think he particularly even wants to fight anyone else until he fights Fury.
Good. Cuz the last thing us boxing fans need is any more deflections and distractions and excuses from making the undisputed fight happen.

Well that ended pretty much how I feared it would.
Helenius is just too slow and open to go against power like Wilder has.
Well at least he came out trying. Went on his shield like a viking should. Was trying to implement that aggressive game plan.
Wilder did lot better than I thought he could do. Beautiful counter with a short punch under fire. Bit like I hoped it would go just the other way around
I hope we see Helenius again. He can still beat the lower top ten guys on his night. I would pick healthy Helenius to beat Whyte for example.

Wilder could obviously defeat Usyk but the Ukrainian should be the favorite; his boxing skills are elite and he could definitely hurt and stop Wilder.

Wilder looked good, took the first given opportunity. Helenius probably chose the only tactics he could pick to win, but he displayed it in a bad way, he shouldn't have been that opened.
Wilder will most likely win every hittable opponent, who doesn't have an above average chin. So, I'd pick him over Joshua, but I'd favor Usyk and Joyce against him. In any case, Wilder must fight some of those next.

Was a legit KO for sure
Helenius trying to be aggressive walked into it.
What’s more concerning is, Wilder can’t box to save his mums life.
I’ve seen him use his jab well, and he CAN use it.
But he’s just not good.
Being a HW and having power is what has gotten him through.
He landed punches on Helenius’ back at one point.

An "above average" chin won't help you, when you get hit by this dude..
Also, if you think Joshua doesn't have an above average chin, you should try fighting a decent flyweight and not get knocked out in one round.
Now imagine fighting the best heavyweights with 10 oz gloves.
People who never boxed in their life don't know what a hard punch or a good chin is.

Well, actually, Wilder also showed some decent movement against Helenius. However, it's hard to say, if he can use it longer than for a round and in a more challenging bout. He was looking like a nice boxer in the 1st round of the 3rd Fury bout and we now, how it all ended.

That was one of the most pathetic performances at HW I have ever seen .
At least Wilders previous tomato cans went down after a proper full on punch - that was barely a tap .
Either the fight was rigged in advance between the two of them or Helenius should not have been in the ring .
Total sham .

You kidding? The clean counter right on the coming forward face. That was a legit KO clearly.

I think Wilder being back to his optimum weight and Helenius being a pretty slow and aging heavyweight showed here. Wilder made it look easy for his second best win (arguably best on paper).

I'd call it his second best scalp. Ortiz gotta be the first one. Despite losing to Washington and Duhaupas, Helenius deserves to be ranked higher than those, while the likes of Stiverne and Breazeale follow.

I agree. That rd1 in the 3rd Fury fight. He was actually boxing ok. But then you can say Fury was just testing the waters.. but it still showed what Wilder can do.

Either Helenius' chin has totally gone or that that was one of the most convincing dives of modern times.
Maybe a bit of both.
You can almost see in his his face the moment when the right hand connects that he makes the decision to go down and stay down.
Boxing Oscar candidate right there.
Bermane Stiverne was taking shots 10 times as hard as that and still coming back for more.

Saw the replay and Helenius walked directly into the shot and was sparked out. Wilder made the right decision coming in much lighter than he has been (ie, Fury 2 & Fury 3) but this is proof positive of the disparity between the top four heavyweights: Fury, Usyk, Wilder, Joshua and everyone else in the division.
No offense to all of these guys who are rated in the top 10 or 15 but they are clearly head and shoulders below in talent and ability. Helenius is probably kicking himself right now because he was the WBA #1 rated heavyweight, and he got knocked out in the first round of a non-title heavyweight match.
Quite frankly the dumbest strategy one can ever do is try to walk straight at Deontay Wilder. Fury did it proper with the feints and the jabs, and the herkey jerky head movement. Nobody in the division far as I can see can pull that off against Wilder except for Fury.
How so? Helenius is journeyman level and has lost to Duhaupas and Washington.
How does this suggest Willder is still even among the top 4

My friend was saying that Wilder was no good and I said well, I watched a video about the hardest heavyweight punchers of all time and Wilder was on the video. So he made that list at least.
I only wish he wouldve called out Usyk rather than Joshua. What does Usyk have to do to lure someone into a fight? His three belts and smaller size apparently isn't enough lol!

Yes it is. An obvious legitimate knockout. If you don't see that. Your opinion isn't worth dick about anything related to Boxing.
