After a HUGE ankle scare in the 1st, Dubois recovers, moves, jabs, and rocks Lerena in the third. Short but sweet match

A fun fight, a frustrating stoppage.

Terrible stoppage...the bell had ended for the round, Lerena deserved the opportunity to go back to his corner and regroup.

Lerena should have jumped on him in the 2nd. Extremely dodgy fight all around really.

That was incredible !
Shades of the great Danny Williams.
Joe Joyce's chin just gets better and better too !
Saved this card.

Slightly odd fight that. The South African barely tried to punch him after the knockdown, then Howard stopped the fight when the bell rang without even assessing him.

What the f**k just happened there???
Did Joe finish DDD with that beat down? His punch resistance seems gone against a…CRUISERWEIGHT?
Was that Corrie sanders in disguise?
DDD now one of the most exciting heavies whose career is gonna come crashing down in 2 or 3 fights…
Wow
The S African was battered at the end looked a good stop

If foster hadent of jumped in then would of got a count and the round would of ended. really should give him that chance. But DDD was landing clean bombs to a defencless kev, so i can see why foster got in there... bit that grates at me is i highly doubt it would of happened in reverse.
The early bell in round 1 is the real shit show, iv never seen that happen for a B side, seen it a few times for A sides... makes me question it as an "error"....

Was it a shot to the top of the head that troubled Dubois originally? Can’t quite make it out.

I’m not that bothered by the stoppage. Lerana was out and he had his chance in the 2nd and chose not to engage. Don’t wanna see him fight again tbh.
Dubois looked buzzed and as he fell back hurt his leg… hence him going down twice more under nothing attacks. Credit to McGuigan there; stayed calm and give good advice.
If that bell did ring early. I didn’t notice then that fight should be an NC.

Are you serious ?!
His head was lolling about one way and his eyes another ! He was out on his feet, I woulda stopped it when he hit the deck.

Bad stoppage in the sense Lerena would've come out for round 4 if ref had gave count instead of waving it off but truthfully that was a bad knockdown, Dubois nearly decapitated him with that uppercut, strange 1st tho, Dubois wobbled and dropped by a nothing left hand, top of the head shot turned his legs to jelly and then he volunteered to go down twice more before the round was out, seem to be a leg injury but still worrying how he crumbled momentarily
The powers an equalizer though, that straight right down the pipe for the first KD was immense

Looks like the top of the head. The side of the head/behind the ear is also possible but looks less likely. Couldn't see any contact for the second two.

Just seen the stoppage, didn’t look terrible to me.
Lerena looked like he had no business taking hits like that. Could have got pretty well hurt had it continued.

DDD got a bit lucky there, but wont hold the Aside treatment against DDD, thats a boxing problem.
DDD showed good heart, and scary punching. Really like the kid, hope his legs ok and he can be back in a meaningfull fight sooner rather than later.

One of those "equilibrium" shots going upside the top of the head AND doing his knee/ankle at the same time looks like.
Fantastic corner work from SMcG imo
BUT..., The Jackal disagrees ! Is he having a dig at Shane ?
