I imagine it’s easily done. You often read about Americans forgetting to declare firearms during internal flights, just because it’s so commonplace to carry (I do love the thought of someone honestly saying nothing to declare whilst packing a loaded gun ). Hoping for a common sense outcome here, slap on the wrist and maybe a few months in prison. No idea if that’s feasible under the circumstances tbh.

Suppose it comes down to was it his gun or some kind of British world war gun.

Just to be clear, I’ve been skitting a poster earlier who said he’d probably get off with a slap in the wrist and no jail time because he’d give them a charity work kids blah blah blah sob story, and they’d just wave him on. Which I found ridiculous and can’t help referring back to every time he faces due process rather than weaves some fantasy web of get-out-of-jail-free fairy dust and they forget all about it.

He's currently in HMP Birmingham.
