Why not? If you can get paid big bucks for an easy job I don't see why you wouldn't if you're Canelo. Maybe he can cap it off with a Superfight with Jake Paul
I think Canelo would target Crawford for an easier payday instead.
Crawford would have to target him. He'd look stupid calling out a guy who's 4 divisions smaller, but he'll say yes if Crawford does indeed make a point of wanting some.

Well, Crawford already said he wants it. Canelo would take it because that'll be the easiest mill he's made. I hope Crawford is coming back down to earth after seeing this, though.

Crawford should steer well clear of Canelo.
It’s a weight jump too far even for him.

Rd 11 = Canelo rests and then potshots. Charlo in this round. Canelo misses a monster upcut.
Close round. Could go either way.
10-9 Charlo
108-100 Canelo

I can't wait to see the press conference. Is Charlo going to cry again?

Pretty poor fight and yet again shows why we have weight classes.

Rd 12 = good left Charlo. Canelo takes the challenge and wins the round.
10-9 Canelo
118-109 Canelo
Charlo has nothing to be ashamed of. He just is not elite.

Not really fair to judge elite based on jumping up 2 weight classes to fight a 1st ballot HoF'er. Dude dared to be great and failed hard. No shame in that. Dude is the undisputed 154 champ, of course he's elite.

Charlo taking this loss very easily. Dude likely knew he was going to lose before the bell rung.

It’s a weight jump too far even for him.
At the very least he needs to slowly build his way up to that size. Not just leap up to it all at once. He's got plenty of options at 154 or 160 first if he even wants those.
I'd personally like to see him make at least a few defenses as a Welterweight because I suspect he'll never be quite as razor sharp as he is at that weight class once he leaves it.

I understand Charlo is fighting two weight classes above his average but his effort and fighting spirit were poor.

Even if he did take it slowly, Canelo would eat him alive, dude. Let's not get out of hand here. Crawford is a great little guy, but Canelo is a great big guy. Charlo actually did better tonight than Crawford would've because I've zero doubt he would've gotten stopped.

It was an excellent card. I pay more for a tank of gas. Four high quality fights. Yes, Canelo dominated, but it was high quality boxing start to finish in the four main card fights.
Worth it for me.

Don’t agree at all. Crawford would do much better than Charlo.

I suspect Crawford would've dominated Charlo in a similar fashion to the way Canelo did to be honest. Lopsided victory.

The only round I had Charlo winning was the 5th. Otherwise it was nothing more than a glorified sparring session for Canelo. The early body work took any sting out of Charlo that might have otherwise been forthcoming.

Just watched it in HD. Very good win by Alvarez. He has good gameplan. Charlo got hit by multiple hard body shots in early rounds that took some steam off him and after that, he was hesitant to put some serious offense to prevent being stopped. One of Canelo best wins

NO BOXING NO LIFE

An entirely routine win as expected against an unproven fighter moving up 2 weight classes to fight one of the most experienced champions out there.
Charlo (like Khan) seemed almost too grateful to be allowed the opportunity to jump up weight classes to collect his Canelo payday. I'm surprised he didn't bow down and kiss Canelo's feet afterwards.
Not that Canelo wasn't trying, unlike Khan, at least Charlo got out in one piece without sustaining too much collateral damage.
Enough of this Canelo v Crawford talk - unless it's at 154 and that's never happening - if it's at 168, it has to be Benavidez or the Bivol rematch next.
