Interview with Simon Valilly. Valilly comes across really well. Their spars sound painful. I did not realise he fought Breidis especially so early on!

Re: Dave Allen - newish YouTube channel
Pretty interesting chat. I can’t help but feel not stopping people to save a few hundred quid a fight isn’t quite the correct investment, but it’s a tough call…but will be interesting to see him as he moves into real fights…
Really for guys like this it must be tempting to go to the mines in Australia at 18 years old for 2 years, train hard stay fit but not fight. Bank some real cash, then start there career with a bankroll….
Near impossible otherwise (without a Dave)

that's great to hear. I also like the fight there's no faffing with a long outro, it just ends when it's done.
I really enjoy the channel. It's laudable that he's basically doing the training and managing for free, and likely costing him money. I've watched 2 of Joe's fights and bought tickets off him, really nice chap.

deffo a tough call. Reiterates how hard it must be to make it as a boxer. I can well understand why people decide to become the away fighter, it takes half the headaches away.gregregegg wrote: ↑14 Sep 2024, 20:43Pretty interesting chat.
