Bloody hell. Any promoter who takes him on needs their licence taken off them. As does Joyce. Sadly he’d probably end up doing bare knuckle instead.
joe had a great run as a pro, especially turning pro at like 32 years old. won every major title below world level, beat good opponents like dubois, parker, jennings, takam to crack every top 10. i think he achieved pretty much all he could realistically have been expected to. its a shame to see it going down this route now, he's going to end with a really ugly looking record that doesnt do justice to how much he achieved at his peak
good chin + bad defense is that absolute worst combo for accumulating damage
