So Dave was lighter in the first Fisher fight.
By 1 & a half pounds. Less than a morning crap.
His weight does flip flops all over the place, doesn't it.
237 for Whyte then 258 for Ortiz less than 5 months later.
Crikey!
What the heck are you eating?
I think the difference in weight is muscle this time.

He’s not exactly a big lad either.
Did he weigh in with the socks in his shorts?

Allen is pretty big, he’s just under 6’4” and thick set, I can’t remember who said it but they said he was a lot bigger than they imagined he was when they saw him,

He's much bigger than he looks on telly.

not to nitpick (said right before i nitpick) but dave himself said he's a tad over 6'2. i guess a tad over 6'2 is still kinda close to almost 6'4 though? anyway, i agree hes naturally got that tank like build, granted he's been significantly lighter than this before so we know he can come in lighter, but im not too worried about his weight here, and the heavyweights can put on more without being impacted anyway.
we know dave has a great chin and can take a pummeling. can big mak go a full 10 rounds right now though? it's his gas tank and body durability id be more concerned about tbh. i think in terms of style and attributes, this is one of the best guys dave can beat, it's a really good fit for him.
dave got the antidote to his opponent's biggest weapon. mak bombs people out and dave simply doesnt get bombed out. and dave also possesing his own tools to take advantage of big mak's weaknesses. big mak aint going to be troubling dave with boxing and moving either, that's just not mak's game.

Hard to know exactly with heights, I’ve also heard Allen said he’s 6’3” and a half. But yeah not a lot in it, I agree his weight not a concern, he’s durable even when out of shape and it’s not like he has a high work rate.

I seen him live at work outs . I’m talking 7 years ago though

I thought he was in the shape of his life?
He did look good a few weeks back, what's happened since?
Still think he'll win either way.

Makmhudov is very limited. If Allen can get through the early rounds (which I’m sure he will) he will light Mak up on the inside and stop him

I think Makhmudov wins this , yes he's lost twice but I'd say Allen isn't at the level of those opponents.
Allen gives away too many rounds and although the Fisher win was good before that he's lost when stepping up a level since Price in 2019.

Price clearly showed Dave Allen's limitations. The big stiff idiot

I think Allen's only chance is if Makhmudov runs out of steam after the halfway point and Dave is able to apply the finishing touches.
Makhmudov doesn't peck & poke with his punches, he just comes straight out the blocks bombing. Allen will have to mindful how much damage is inflicted upon himself before the fight reaches a point where Makhmudov might start flagging.

Allen's a good body puncher and obviously Makhmudov fragile down there, if he can navigate the first time few rounds then he has to target there, he needs to start sharper though Allen, he's too passive early on

A bit like Andy Ruiz Jr, there would be a load of photos of him looking trim and in shape then on fight night he looked overweight lol.
