I think they definitely would land a shot, wouldn’t even need to be a clean one. Just walk her down slowly, punch through the guard / target the body, job done.

You could go all Hopkins on her and hit her in the side repeatedly after grabbing ahold of her, and wear her down by just kinda mauling her around.

Her defense doesn't seem particularly impenetrable to me though to be honest.

If you were just trying to make contact and not swinging for the fences, I don't think making contact would be all that hard.

And if you could even land at a 10% connect ratio it could be a big problem

There are very few women boxers and they have very poor upper body strength and much thinner skulls. 15 yr old local boys teams destroy female national footballers teams (and female football is a very popular sport). Anyone that thinks a female boxer would stand a chance against. 15 year old boy or even a strong man who can throw a punch is deluded and has never boxed.

Definitely not underestimating. I'm in reasonable shape, but I'm a stone over my fighting weight and 55 years old. I haven't laced a pair of gloves since the 90's and even then, my biggest successes came against musclebound guys. She would see everything I threw coming a mile off. After two rounds, I'd be totally gassed and she could pick me off at will. Back in the day, I had a great chin, but didn't like it to the body. Now? My punch resistance would be worse, I'd be slow and have terrible timing. Even if I could still crack hard with my right hard, which was my main weapon, the chances of me landing cleanly would be akin to being struck by lighting twice while holding the winning lottery ticket.

Imagine it like this. If I used to run, not spar and would run a mile against others, Sometimes I'd win, sometimes I'd lose, but I never ran an official race. Now imagine I haven't ran since the 90's and I'm in at the start line in the London stadium against one of the best female milers in the world. Do you think I have any chance of winning? Or lets say it was squash, or shotput or cycling or fencing or darts or snooker and I was pitted against one of the best women in the world today. There isn't a single sport I would pick myself to win at. No sane man would.

Nobody would expect to beat (say) the British champ at girls running/tennis/snooker, but boxing has so much more emphasis on size/strength and bone&muscle density. That's a much bigger thing in combat obviously.

I mean, Claressa has never KOd a woman with a bodyshot, your power is obviously nothing compared @ 55 to being young and explosive, but you're hitting a 5'5 woman not big men ?

Still, what you say and The Jackal's (where I@m sure he's being at least a bit modest/respectful)is very interesting.

Funnily enough, even tho' Shields beat Marshall, it's a lot easier to see Sav beating guys up than The GWOAT.

OK, how about weightlifting, shot put, arm wrestling, karate, judo, MMA. I had a dabble 30 years ago and now I'm going to attempt to beat one of the very best women in the world. I wouldn't stand a chance.
