My three highlights from this fight:

- The finish. Brutal but executed well.
- That body shot.
- My missus during the introductions: ‘Is he (O’Leary) going to fight with his hat on? Won’t it get knocked off when he’s punched?

“Things My Missus Said Watching This Fight” is my favourite type of post on this forum.

Years ago someone said their lady was watching a women’s fight and said “I’d hate to get punched in the tits”

Classic Frank, skirting around confirming the Portsmouth date.

A rematch would also be a war, but I’m not sure O’Leary fares much better.

Chamberlain’s style is all wrong for him and he doesn’t have the quickfire hands of Padley to execute differently.

Soft, southern, shandy drinkers.

Hope you got in on the Chamberlain by KO action.

I lumped on in the third round and still got 1/3. Not gonna lie, I thought I'd blown it after he was knocked down. You?

Reeves in a bad condition according to BBC:

Irish boxer Lee Reeves is in a "critical but stable" condition in hospital after he was stretchered out of the ring in Dublin on Saturday.
Reeves was facing Gary Cully for the vacant BUI Celtic super-lightweight title but was knocked out in the 10th round at the 3Arena.
The 31-year-old Limerick fighter was stretchered out of the ring after the fight and transferred to hospital.
In an update released on Sunday, a spokesperson from Queensberry Promotions said that Reeves is in a "critical but stable" condition.
"Lee Reeves is still in hospital, in a critical but stable condition," the spokesperson said.
"We will know more in the coming days, and our thoughts and prayers remain with Lee and his family."

Just watched this card back. What a battle with O'Leary vs Chamberlain. One of the best fights of the year up to this point, if not the best. Hell of a fight.

Royston Barney-Smith looks to be a hell of a prospect on the way up. He'll be a future Champion for sure I think.

Good card all around.

Lee Reeves Hospitalized After KO Loss To Gary Cully In Dublin

Lee Reeves is in a Dublin hospital after sustaining undisclosed injuries during his 10th-round knockout defeat to Gary Cully on Saturday night.

Their fight took place at 3Arena on the undercard of Mark Chamberlain’s 10th-round knockout of previously unbeaten Dublin native Pierce O’Leary.

Reeves (16-2, 11 KOs) was knocked down at the start of the 10th and final round of a hard-fought junior welterweight fight, but he got up and complained about the legitimacy of the knockdown to referee Emile Tiedt. He continued fighting, but less than a minute later, he was floored heavily.

The bout was immediately stopped. The 31-year-old fighter from Limerick received medical attention within seconds.
Promoter allegedly posted the following on X:

“All our thoughts and prayers are with Lee Reeves and his family at this time as he remains in hospital. Everyone at Queensberry [Promotions] is thinking of him and we’re in constant contact with his team regarding his condition as we hope for positive news.”

Reeves is still critical.

There’s a fundraiser for him.
