Is it just me, or is Fisher there for the taking?

I mean…. His chin has failed the test. I’m just not sure Pirroton is good enough or hard hitting enough to take advantage. He looks poor in the footage I’ve seen.
The Belgian hasn’t been stopped though.

I think anyone who takes him past the 4th round has a chance.

EVERYONE has a chance against Fisher - he comes forward taking risks and getting hit easily..
but as said above, doubt Pirotton is the one - notably slower hands and less power. Probably better chin..
I@m looking fwd to it anyway...

He’s another loss waiting to happen. And a bit like Jordan Thompson I think his next loss is going to come at a level way below what people expect.
Hoping I can cash in similar to how I did with Thompson’s last defeat.
I’m not sure whether I should let the fight go a round or two before betting in play as I may lose value. Anyone being 10/1 to beat Fisher by KO is generous I think.

And he's a likeable character.
Not everyone can be World class but he's entertaining & gets eyes on the sport.
I hope he's around for a few more years & maybe even picks up a European title or something.
p.s. just found out that I'm six years older than Big John Fisher. Bloody hell

I think similar to you. Pirotton’s only ever lost on points to two lads with decent records & he’s had plenty of notice for this & looks in good shape.
And the obvious thing is Fisher isn’t very good.
I’m tempted to back Pirotton, I’m just wondering if I’m getting a bit giddy & carried away after backing Hrgovic at 6/1 & Garcia in 6 at 9/2. There’s only so often you can beat the bookies.

I've been betting against Fisher since the Babic fight and I'm well up. He nearly got done by Balaz last time which would have been a right earner for me. Pirotton looks awful but all he needs is 3-4 rounds of durability. Johnny is wooden and will never learn or be able to be economical in his movement so he will always be gassed by the fourth round. He's in against a punch bag here in Pirotton, who will have to ship some punches and show durability. Johnny is always a guy I'll bet against, even against the likes of Pirotton, especially with odds like this. They've picked out a right tomato can for this fight though so I will just be going small but I'm not going to miss out on making money when Fisher loses again.

Fight Night!!
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Zuffa Boxing stages a British card headlined by Johnny Fisher this weekend at the Copper Box.
Michael Pirotton heads into this weekend’s heavyweight main event against Johnny Fisher largely as an unknown to fans, but insists his lack of notoriety doesn’t make him incapable. And while Fisher will be the one getting the backing from the ringside fans and observers, Pirotton tells Sky Sports that he hopes to use the ambiguity to his advantage while also being at peace knowing all the pressure will be on his opponent to perform.
“Nobody knows about me. That’s my only advantage,” he continued. “I know I’m supposed to lose. In the scenario I’m supposed to lose that fight. He’s going to come full of confidence with his people and I know he’s training hard. I have to be ready for whatever he brings. I’m going to be ready. I’m ready.”
Pirotton goes on to say his journey to this point has been tough, and while he isn’t going into this fight bragging and boasting about his ability, he’s looking forward to celebrating his vindication immediately afterwards.
Firmly believing Fisher doesn’t have what it takes to knock him out, he’ll be the one brimming with confidence inside the ring, and being that confident is going to allow Pirotton to feel free enough to unleash all of his own power.
Johnny Fisher weighed in at 243lbs ahead of his Zuffa Boxing debut at London’s Copper Box Arena on Saturday.
Fisher, 14-1 (12 KOs), is looking to make his mark and, after a camp with new coach Tony Sims, the heavyweight hit the scales at a familiar weight.
For his last six bouts he has weighed between 240 and 246lbs. In his most recent major bout, in May 2025, he was knocked out by Dave Allen in a rematch.
Since then, he stopped Ivan Balaz in December before making the switch from Matchroom to Zuffa.
The unproved Pirotton, 12-2 (6 KOs), is also largely unchanged from recent outings. He weighed 240.6lbs – which is in keeping with his usual weight.
