collingwood been drafted in looks like a seamers paradise, id play him instead of giles. home ground or not.

Agreed. I'd play him instead of Giles anyway (who seems to be losing his cool in the press somewhat).

Flintoff and Bell had better learn to bat this time around.

flintoff scratched aorund for an over at the 20 20, then he batted like a dream on sat, was there with balls flying all over the place. bit differnet to test cricket i know but you would rather score runs than not.

what a bunch of ignorant arsoles the Leics fans were though, really big group of em right by me, typical rugby tigers fans, think they have a divine right to turn up and win. no offence to anyone form Leics but i dont like em generically, being a Bath RFC fan as well.

so chuffed when they got knocked out by Somerset in the semi, they all left as they had dished out so much shit in the day "lets all larf at surrey" being a favourite til they themselves lost..

really i see them once or twice a year sometimes in London sometimes in Franklin gardens (my old man is a big saints fan).

Grew up in the west country and use to see them play a lot more then, been 15 years since i was living down there though.

He scored a slightly-less-than-impressive 2 in the final though, so that's no indication of form.

I'd get Collingwood in for Giles. Looks like Vaughn might be a doubt, and just after a very handy knock at Kent might have meant he was starting to find a bit of form.

Australia's Glenn McGrath could be out of the second Ashes Test at Edgbaston after suffering an ankle injury while warming up.

The 35-year-old seamer had to be helped from the field by a motorised cart after suffering the problem while playing rugby with the rest of the squad.

Michael Kasprowicz would be likely to be called into the tourists' starting XI for the match. Ricky Ponting's side currently lead the series 1-0.

Well, Its been a long time since you fellas have even been competitive

and the first test did very little to change my opinion

(OK maybe one session was good), Except for Harmison no one else was that impressive. The batters where pathetic at best and the only one that batted decent dropped every catch that come his way.

We had our chances in the 1st test just didnt take them, we should have had a lead but for an extra ordinary perfomance by Mcgrath in the first innings, the game would have been different if for that so i dont think its fair to say it wasnt cometetive, you dont bowl a side out for under 200 and say it wasnt competitive mate. I agree from the aussie 2nd innigs on we were rubbish, but if you think that how we have played to get to number 2 in the rankings then you are daft mate.

its along summer id keep you mouth shut for a bit if i were you.

Strauss has gone for 48, brilliant delivery by Warne.

Not a bad start though. Australia's quick attack is pretty toothless without McGrath.

I think this is a batters pitch: No result from this test if you blokes can get to 1/150 then we could make about 800

Ive been watching you blokes for the last year or so and i am only talking shit because i thought you blokes might actually beat us this series.

what a shame that McGrath will only be out for this game we might have had a competitive series

It's not test cricket but it's bloody entertaining with Flintoff in this mood, Lee and Warne are getting more and more frustrated, a few more overs of this and it will be a big score!

Great play by Flintoff and Pitersen. Just what England needed. Without being overly pessemistic or optimistic, If they could keep it up for another 10 overs say, or if one could go on to make 100, you could be looking at 400-450

There's not a lot in this pitch, the Aussies will have a field day on this wicket unless conditions change dramatically.

Its a great spectacle watching Flintoff and Pietersen together been looking forward to seeing the pair of them going at it like this.

gives you opportunity to attack.

only takes oine session where the clouds come over and it swings and bobs youR uncle unless she has had a sex change and then she is your aunt.
