I think TeaM Hatton has made a mistake trying to ditch Alleged... he could be looking at a lengthy lay off and with his weight gaining habits that could have dire consequences.

What fornicating bias? Do I work for Hatton...nope. Do I work for Warren, no.

I see it objectively. Warren has invested in Hatton, made money, and got him where he wanted on terms that suited him.

Hatton has done very nicely, and I have it on what I consider pretty good authority that some of the fights which fell through mentioning no specifics, fell through because of Hatton's demands, not Warrens.

I don't accept the spiel that promoters are always to blame, far from it.

However. I'm sure Warren has also done very nicely out of Hatton, and without getting his brains bashed in too.

If Ricky is indeed a free agent, the courts will uphold his right to pursue his career with whosoever he wishes, after all, he's not an indentured worker.

If however, Warren DOES have a watertight agreement, the courts will undoubtedly tell the Hattons that they either have to pay him off to get out of contract or stay put.

I have it on very good authority that what Warren refers to as an agreement is not binding in any way shape or form

Whose your good authority....A high Court judge or a carpet salesman?

Spot on....another Hatton fantasy, fact is he don't want Witter baked or fried.

He could pay Witter and possibly see Hattin knocked out?.

Yeah, watching that sixth round brought back memories of a prime Sugar Ray Leonard - awesome.
Bingo! It was uncanny at times. Cannot remember the last time I saw a fighter sit in the pocket like that and rattle of such sizzling combinations.

Like Leonard, Mayweather isn't classed a puncher, but tough men wilt under the assault.

He's no 1 punch puncher thats for sure, but if he rattles off 3 or 4 shots in your face in a couple of seconds you soon know about it!!

One body shot in particular at the end of a combo nearly sliced Gatti in half.

He's definately the best p4p in boxing today... I just hope he doesn't blow it all outside the ring. He seems to have the knack of getting himself into trouble...... :x

I don't think Warren stands much chance of blocking Hatton fights - he'd need some serious proofs of contract to do that and WELL he doesn't

I can't see Warren going to all this trouble if he didn't think he could get a result in the courts. Remember Warren is an old hand at this sort of thing.
And Ricky certainly hasn't broken from Warren so he can get the big fights has he?... Maussa is just a tough club fighter!   ...and Sheffeild is hardly Lasvegas or Madison Square Garden is it???. And all this from a guy who only has another 3 fights left in him? :x .

To listen to the interview after the Vince Phillips fight it appeared Witter-Hatton was cut and dried, even Adam Smith was goading Warren into making the fight.

I personally think Hatton is well wary of Witter, that's not scared but wary, he knows he has nothing much to gain by beating Witter but a lot to lose. Shouting "your next" while pumped up straight after a fight is one thing but sitting down and making the fight is another.

Yes he would - so the share price in SN doesnt drop

But what will that gain?... if the court case doesn't go anywhere then the share prices would drop then won't they... he'd only be delaying it and probably running up legal costs as well. He must think that he has a case otherwise he wouldn't be doing this imo.
Hattons fathers statement that he threw away that letter from Warren without informing Ricky of its contents hardly seems to be sound practise to me. If you recive such a letter and do not challenge it at the time then the inference must be that you have accepted its contents.
I don't say this as a supporter of ALLEGED because I'm not but it seems to me that Hattons team are biting off more than they think.

Hmm, I seem to recall Warren having a rather unpleasant experience in court when Don King took him for 12 million.

Bringing a case is one thing, winning it another.

First sentence - could be desperation.
Second - yes he is, you're right - but see James' post.
Third - he's a club fighter with a WBA belt...it's Ricky's second most significant fight
Fourth - Sheffield has a lot in common with Vegas. Come out of the Hallam Arena, turn left on to Attercliffe Road and there are several strip joints and whorehouses.

Get your facts right and do your research. Warren settled King did not take him, as in win any case. Still, granted, $12M is $12M I suppose. Still I suppose if you had been around longer than five minutes you would have known that.

if maussa can't do much of anything, he can punch. he's scored 17 ko's in 19 wins. i personally think he has the toughness to maybe take hatton to points in a sort of awkward carlos wilches stylee.

I remember Billy Graham saying after Maussa won his 'title' that he wouldn't be a suitable oppoent for Ricky... ie not good enough!.
He's hardly Mayweather or Cotto or..... Witter is he?.
But then thats the idea I suppose!...

Since 1999 actually. :TU:

According to the Hatton's, he became a free agent after the Olivera fight? So He was a free agent for the Tszyu fight then?

For fucks sake mate, give it a rest. End of the day, Don got 12 million from Frank. Hence the phrase 'Don King took him for 12 million'. And, as we stand, Frank has brought a case against the Hatton's. He hasn't won one yet. Hence the phrase 'Bringing a case is one thing, winning it another'. Seriously, this shit is tired. Obviously none of us here know all the facts, because neither allegedly nor the Hatton family phone us and tell us the details, so we speculate. We all know it's speculation, so unless you're prepared to tell us all the facts and put us all in the right, could you stop saying we're all talking bullshit when some of us happen to disagree with you? It's not like you've given anyone any proof that your opinion is total, 100% fact, is it?

Where will Billy Graham's loyalties lie on all this? I'm guessing with Hatton as he's bound to be closer to Ricky on a personal level. Also some of the other guys he trains are no longer with SN, i.e. Matthew Hatton, Matthew Macklin and the guys that are don't have Ricky's talent.
