As shite as WWE is (and it is), I'd still watch it in preference to Darts.

Darts makes for fantastic TV, have you ever actually sat and watched a final? It's absolutely fanbloodytastic!

I am a huge fan of the 'arras myself - the BBC PDA tournament, not so much the Sky one.

Watching that young Dutch kid come good last year was fantastic, that atmosphere and tension in the later stages of the tournament make the game what it is - compelling viewing.

If I ever found myself sat in front of the TV engrossed in a darts match, my first thought would be to re-evaluate my life.

No, that said, I have watched a BDO match once which had Colin "The Monk" Monk (imaginative!) in it.

I only watched because he was from Southampton (like me), and the bloke he was playing was some ridiculously fat viking dude. I was laughing more than "enjoying" the darts at the reaction of the rabble in the crowd.

Colin Monk's darts technique used to drive me to distraction. He has a reflex action whereby he opens his mouth every time he throws a dart..Over 5 sets that could start to grate.

Darts is fornicating brilliant, and damn anyone who says otherwise. Barney defecting to the PDC has given it an extra edge. If anyone can beat Taylor, it's the Dutchman.

I love the arrows, it might seem daft, but it can be real edge of the seat stuff.

I think Darts is great... the world is coming to something though when there are even two world darts champions at the same time!... :x :x :x

Hasn't Barneveld beaten Taylor in one event already?

Not sure James. They drew 7-7 in the Premier league earlier this year. Taylor then won 8-6 a few weeks later. Real high quality stuff though.

Ahh, maybe it's the draw I'm thinking of.

WWE rules... love it... it's like watching a Sports Network undercard... you know the outcomes are predeterminded but it in entertaining anyway... as for Johnson v Joe, if Glen had 3 months to prepare he could have a 40% chance of beating Joe... he beat Tarver easily enough first time around and doesn't seem to struggle with fash southpaws... but if the fight does happen at 6 weeks notice then all bets are off... neither guy would really have time to prepare specifically for the other and instead would maybe have to concenrate 100% just of getting "match fit"

I was in Yates at Gatwick a few weeks ago (en route to Vegas for ODLH v MAyorga), it was about seven in the morning. To mark the start of a trip I ordered two pints of Guiness and two bacon sarnies for my mate and me. As I did so, I noticed the considerable bulk of Andy Fordham next to me. We exchanged pleasantries. In fact the exchange went Me: "Hello Andy; always admired your arrows". Andy "Thanks mate". Me: "No worries mate".

He then proceeded to order (for him and his manger), three cooked breakfasts, a pint of lager (for his manager) and the piece de resistance, two large glasses of white wine for himself (which he polished off in about 20 minutes).

A few hours later, in Vegas, I met Joe Frazier. It's an odd world.

Still wouldnt say that boxing has quite reached the depthes of the WWF. You still get the odd upset even on sn cards. Whats the attraction in whaching grown men grabbing eachothers crutches!... 8)

Going back to the Darts... I used to love watching Jocky Wilson... what a character....

wrestling is a pathetic pantomime involving roided up twats. only reason it's popular is that it depicts violence - but in a 'nonthreating' manner. making fighting safe, i always felt it was for spineless ppl. if you're going to watch combat at least watch real combat, for fornicating hell's sake

I went to watch the PDC darts in Stevenage a couple of weeks back and it was fornicating fantastic (apart from when the bar ran out of beer for 15 minutes )

Great atmosphere for what is two fat blokes throwing arrows. I'd much rather they showed some boxing like they used to at the Gordon Craig but i'd def go again. Taylor is still in a different league, pissed all over Lloyd who's supposed to be No.1 in the rankings

I watch WWE mainly because I think the hammy acting is hilarious... I live in a dorm Liverpool Uni and for some reason we all like watching 'bad' acting... helps if you are drunk but Hollyoaks and stuff like that is so bad it is good... same with wrestling... it is so bad it is actually great... I remember watching two fat blokes boxing on a Panix show years ago and after 2 rounds the fans started cheering like it was Haglar Hearns... I didn't get it at first but I realised the fans were being ironic and were actually taking the piss...
