Too much telegraphing shots from Junior at the end of the day. I still reckon he'd have beaten Hatton. And I think Bradley will go onto be something special

BTW I told you Bradley was a live wire
it was a competitive fight.

i had it 3-2 bradley going into the 6th.

but the scoring was debateable up to that point.

witter is too disjointed to beat the good top class fighters.

been saying it for years tbh.

he's world class though.

he'll be back.

Good to see you behaving yourself , Edward.

I have seen your usual nonsense ove at Doghouse, when will you learn?

Shame Hatton did not have the guts to give te public the fight they wanted to see.

DG, people often slate Hatton, but when you look at it at 140 pounds compare the two, Witter never beat a reigning World Champion to become one. He fought Corley who was a good bit past his best for the WBC belt, which made Witter rather than Witter being above the belt to get big fights. His best win was against Harris who had seen better days, hense his stoppage defeat by Maussa a couple of years before Witter fought him.

I'm not saying Witter was never a good fighter, as he is, but people slate Hatton who became a geniune world champion and you look at Witters run at the weight, I can't see how the two can be compared.

I think Bradley fought the perfect fight, he never rushed in to get countered by silly shots and fought a great fight timing when to stay off and when to get in. You can tell his amateur boxing background was at a high level and I wish him the best for the future.

If Hatton is not a true Champion at 140 why is he still the goal fight of all the belt holders at that weight, including Witter when he held a belt? .....now Witter has been beaten, Hatton if he gets past his next fight will face the now number 2 in the weight Paulie and I would like to see him fight Bradley after that should he come through these fights as I think Bradley is a good fighter who showed Hatton a lot of respect in the post fight Witter intervew. He never claimed to be the best at 140 yet, I think he would see Hatton as being the top still but he could turn out to be a very good champion at only 24 years old.

Hatton hand picks opponents.

If Witter fought Maussa and Urango he would have taken theor belts.

Collazo beat Hatton - no way did he do enought to take the |Champions belt.

Hatton is the CASH COW in the 140 division.

Hatton is not a true champ as he has ducked at least 5 fighters blatantly.

Hatton does nt fight the best fighters ( apart from PBF and that was for the money!).

Hatton wants the easy fights then will happily get mashed down for ££££s when he steps to the true elite level.

Listen to Hatton durng his intervuiew in the ring after getting beat down lke a dog.

'I don't think Floyd is the boggest of Welters but I felt the difference'

Then when asked abot fighting DLH he says.

'It's a possiblility'!!!!

The guy is after the cash!

Witter lost - but Hatton was not the fighter that did it.

:D

But Witter never fought them, nor took a world title from anyone. We can only talk about what has happened, not what "ifs". You could easily flip that round and say Hatton would have beaten everyone Witter fought including Bradley :TU: swings and roundabouts mate, and Witter would also get stopped against Floyd at Welterweight

So what if Hatton goes one better and beats the man who beat Witter ?

Witter was found out, plain and simple.

Might shut a few of his no-nothing, no-show fans up for a bit.

Hatton would walk through him, and he'd do the same to Bradley, who is as raw as they come.

A shambolic performance, but it's what he deserved.

He got lucky fighting Corley for the title, and all he has done since is pt up a good performance against Viv Harris and complain that Hatton won't fight him.

Watch all the S(Hitter) lovers jump back on the Hatton bandwagon now.....

He showed pressure and decent body work, nothing more and it was enough to grind out a win. All talk that he is going to be something special is an attempt to sweeten a bitter pill.
How do you know he wont be special? Witter isnt the easiest the fighter to look good against. Bradley has blinding hand speed, is well schooled, is strong as an ox, and has very good power and has shown he can judge distance and coutner.

I'd move Bradley to number 2 behind Hatton and he may even take that 1, not that he'll get a shot

He should have beaten this guy with ease.

Hatton ducked the fight for 8years for good reason, he's scared he'd lose. Bradley can do things that Hatton can't, such as counter punch, throw with blinding speed. If Hatton walks forward against Witter hes getting beaten up

Good fighter but he'll never be a great one, Witter should be ashamed of himself

You'd think Tim Bradley was the second coming of Ray Robinson....

He beat a lazy, arrogant, overrated pot shotter with no stamina and little heart...

On that form Hatton would have taken him out in the mid rounds.

He is a bit raw, but he is fast and has the fastest hands in the division by far.

Hatton wold not want to fight him.

NO WAY!

And If he does, it shows him to be the fraud I know him to be - I can see it now

'The WBC Belt is the one belt I am yet to win'

I've predicted plenty of fights bang on the button, I told everyone on here BHOPs-Calazage would be close with BHOPs sscoring the better shots and Calazage throwing more, and yes I was right :TU:

I even said Bradley would be a live wire, no shame in losing a close fight against a prime young contender. And yes Witter was shown up last night, he'd still give Hook and Hold Hatton nightmares, Ricky lacks skill

No go back to giving your Ricky Hatton poster the rim job you started before you posted its not our fault were not Hattonsexuals hooker

As usual, the usual Witter fan response, a poor one!

"Hatton is a cowud and he iz just a loooser becoz JUnirer wud batr him yeah, fuk u all"

"I fink der Hatton woud be beeten by Junier, he is da best in do word, he punchez haard"

Bless....go away and watch some fights. And what's phenomenal about your nutrition?! Bizarre name.....

No actually outside of Wales its normal for blokes to have girlfriends instead of sheep mate. You may call me a Hatton hater, but you didnt see me coming on here talking shit about Hatton when he got ko'd. Boxings not an easy business and Hatton and Witter did the best they could in their losses

Seriously last night Witter looked poor in many ways, telegraphing, gassing, it was disapointing as I'm a Witter fan, I still had it close as I thought he took most of the first 5.

I still reckon he'd beat Hatton. Witter is still on Hattons level even though hes been a bit exposed, because Hattons level isnt that high. 1 thing that can't be denied is Hatton has ducked Witter amongst many others.

Its a forum people are going to have different opinions to you fella, no need to lose your rag

As much as I want Witter to succeed, his style is horrible. Give me classical boxing any day.
I agree - beforehand I really wanted Witter to win - okay he's a bit cocky but he seems like an honest hardworking pro - but after a few rounds I was actually rooting for Bradley(okay I had money on him  ). But also because I was reminded that Witter, against the wrong opponent, is absolutely horrible to watch - throwing once punch at a time - no jab, chin in the air. This has always been the case. Bradley is a good fighter but lets be honest, he's nothing special - but he had done his homework - had a great game plan and stuck to it. Style makes fights and IMO Hatton would beat him clearly. On the other side Witter would pose problems to Hatton, as Hatton takes chances to land those trademark bodyshots and get inside. Just because fighter A beats fighter B and C beats A doesnt mean B can't beat C because boxing just doesnt work like that if u get ma drift! :TU:

Shame that Jr W lost to someone who was merely good and solid. That said, I still think Kotelnik just about beat him.

I'd like Kotelnik v Bradley but it would be hard to make unless - as noted on the US forum - Bradley becomes a committed road warrior, Cuningham style.

Because I watched him fight before this fight, watched him in the fight and actually understand what 'special' means, and no it is not Max!

I think your anti-Hatton bias is going against you here, usually you talk sense but consider these 'special' names:

Tszyu
Barney Ross
Carlos Ortiz
Locche
Aaron Pryor
JC Chavez
Cervantes

Even guys to have challenged at this weight such as Arguello are better than Bradley, call me mad but that is what I think. You could also tell those guys were special from a single fight or two. Bradley is not, should not have won in fact.

I am not inclined to call a guy 'special, great or ATG' on the basis of one win for a portion of a title versus a 30+ guy who has looked poor in most of his recent fights barring Harris and the odd decent round.

You are over-egging the pudding. Witter should have defeated this guy but in the final analysis Junior was shown to be 1-D and once figured out faded badly, plus his stamina did not hold up.
I'm not Max mate, Maybe your right and I'm trying to sweeten the bitter pill of last night, truth be told we don't know how good Bradley will go onto be, I still think Bradley looks tasty, I didnt say he'd be an ATG. Bare in mind Cervantes was made to look like a amateur against Loche on his rise to the top, Tyszu had quite an easy rise to his first title, and when Duran fought Buchanon he would not be the defensively skilled boxer he would become later. I don't think anyone thought Cotto and Hatton would make P4P lists in 2002. Early days for the young 24yo champ

As early as the 2nd rnd I said to the wife that Bradley had worked Witter out.

The Vivian Harris win was Witters best fight .. and like people said - Harris wasn`t that good anyway.

Bradley didn`t allow Witter to fight and dictate how he likes .. and Witter couldn`t adapt.
I didn`t even make it close .. the only clear rnd I gave to Witter was the 9th.
As said - the scoring was terrible :-?

If Hennessey can get an immediate rematch it will be better for Witter.

Witter should not have lost that fight.

If Witter wins then it is great, if he loses then he might as well retire OR go back to Euro Level.

I hope Witter was well paid last night.
