Does Amir Khan have a chance of winning a world title?

I have watched the fight a few times now and every time it just brings a huge smile to my face. Kahn was totally exposed by prescott. It's obvious he has a weak chin which we knew after some of his previous fights. I will admit a mate of mine asked who would win and i said that Kahn would because i didnt think warren would put him in with anyone who would be a real threat. How wrong was I. Even after this loss he still thinks he's a world beater, putting it down to a single mistake. To be honest, Murray, Thaxton, Ramanov and any world class fighterds will have him over. Bet Thaxton was pissing himself lastnite.

marquez - best counter puncher in the sport.
pac - just brilliant.
diaz - tough as old boots slugger.
campbell - hardened boxer with a decent punch.
guzman - excellent slick boxer.
peterson - excellent up and comer.
prescott - big puncher as we saw last night.

i didn't even mention casamayor and katsidis did i.

Reading thru the thread iv seen quite a few comments on the matchmaking,Being a matchmaker i know the worst thing you can get is a boxer or trainer with enough clout to be able to influence the picking of the opponent.
It was getting round that Khans trainer and advisers had had a hand in picking this guy and the promoters comments afterwards confirmed it.
While his first 18 fights were not the fans favourites (mine included) the job was being done and the results were the ones wanted ,this was down to the matchmaker being left to do his job and no interfearance.
On the biggest stage the wrong people are givin some leeway on the match and look what happens!!
I think this is a clear indication in the future leave the matchmaking to the guy whos been doing the job the longest and the most succesfully.
I think the promoter made those comments to make sure in the future any prospects or trainers with ideas of doing their own matches could be put swiftly into place.

I can believe his new trainer had an influence on who his opponent should be, because I noticed in the build up that Fwank never seemed his normal self, he never seemed comfortable and after the fight itself he was absolutely stunned.

As a fan id like to still see him against Murray still a good fight as John is best against guys in front of him ,get Khan moving and a good match for the viewer.
As a matchmaker bit more difficult you dont want to make the match so easy that even the boxer loses faith in himself but after the other night you dont want realy any risk as another result like that will ruin him.I think the first fight back might be at lightwelter to see if that gives any help resiliance wise perhaps Scott hayward 15.2 (just won the english title)or Irish prospect Andrew Murray or even see if they can get Derek Gainer back over.Not great matches as spectacles but safe enough and decent enough records for a comeback fight for a guy coming off a knockout.
