I'm talking about rehabilitation in general sg1985

and IMO some criminals no matter what they've done CANNOT be rehabilitated, I just used sex offenders as an example of a criminal who cannot be rehabilitated in any way whatsoever. Whereas a street mugger can be rehabilitated but only if they dedicate themselves to putting it all in the past.

As for 'smackheads' 'crackfiends' etc. just take their drugs off them and lock them away and rehab them for as long as it takes if it takes 3 years then so be it but don't ever let them have access to illegal drugs no matter how clean they may be, if they are kept away from heroin, coke or whatever for long enough then they will eventually kick the addiction.

And as for 'eliminating' drug dealers, why don't we do just that and ELIMINATE them from all existence.

I think were just going to have to agree to disagree :TU:

Although I will stand by rehab only works if they WANT it to work if they don't put the effort into cleaning their act up then there isn't much hope is there.

Mmmmm interesting, give it for free, well i'm not a thieve and i don't mug people for drug money , i work for a living so really supose i can't afford the white powder up my nose everyday , if i did and developed the habit suppose i would spend half my time high and the other half trying to get money too stay high.

Give it away at the local chemist, not a bad idea really , suppose i could then give up work and spend the rest off my life high has a kite for free. Yep i'll be in that do you reckon we could get lager for nowt has well I could take my pick what i want to be then in fact i could be both . Sit home be a druggie during the week , go out be a lager lout on weekends. sounds good to me where do i sign for the program

Firstly and most importantly RIP Jame's!!

Just let me say though that 28 year's is excessive and in relation to other murder charge's/gun crime's it appear's harsh.

IMO I agree very much with Mugabi's post on the 3rd page or so.

In today's climate you can't just take it for granted that you can politely ask people to do these thing's (although you should be able to).

As Mugabi said Jame's would appear intimidating at 6ft 9 and an Ex British Champion and although I believe in fist first at every opportunity in this case I can understand why a much younger man would resort to weapon's, Maybe it's just where I am from and the people I know but I am not in the least surprised at what happened.

I have got lot's of mate's either in prison or who have been in ( I haven't) and it is an easy ride by all account's but boring.

Prison is not what it should be.

I think youl find his rec is 28 years which means its recommended he serves at least that and its very rare anybody gets out on a rec on a murder charge heel do maybe 32 or 33 if hes good in there,
These sentances are becoming more common, in birmingham there are people getting 30 recs more and more for gun crime killings.
