I think we were a bit optimistic. I've just seen a couple of interviews on YouTube where Fury's team have said:

• They are getting to a position where they will make a decision, one way or another.

•When asked if Fury has someone lined up in reserve, if he doesn't fight Uysk, the reply was that it wouldn't be fair to say whilst negotiations are still happening. The interview concluded with, either way, they are likely to make an announcement next week.

Ducking confirmed from the man's own mouth.

It's shaping up to be the biggest duck in global sports, isn't it?!

This is the biggest indication yet that he isn’t fighting Usyk.

He’s not even going to be fighting a boxer…

Yeah. That was my take too.

We had Eddie saying next week all the time last year and now we’ve got Frank doing the same. Late April will come around fast.

The Furyettes will still blame Usyk, you know due to the fact he has a history of being hard to negotiate with and never willing to fight outside his home country.

Usyk should offer to take 40% now. If it's not gonna happen he might as well flex.

incidentally, paris fury sized murat gassiev, at 6'3 and about 230 with abs, wiped out someone the other day

limited opposition at heavy so far, but still an exciting puncher and still in his 20s. prob not gonna be an elite hw, but i could certainly see him beating the likes of joe parker and getting himself into the mix. hope he steps it up soon vs someone like efe or wallin or parker.........maybe start with johnny rice if he wants more hw rounds before that level. hell maybe even del boy would be a good one for him atm

Fury is frustrated by the missed opportunity to fight Joshua, he wants the biggest payday and nothing but it. Usyk claimed he wanted to fight nobody but Fury, he is concerned only by legacy. It's possible for both Fury and Usyk to vacate now.

In that case Wilder gotta receive a shot for the vacant WBC, since he's connected to it so much. Hrgovic will be given the vacant IBF shot, maybe vs the fat Andy. Eddie will instantly move Joshua to the challenge of any of the vacated belts.

Fury will be triggered to return in this case.

Do you believe in some sort of such mess? I won't be surprised by anything today.

According to Barry McGuigan, it will be Tyson Fury vs Andy Ruiz.

Pathetic, if true.

The spectacle of Fury prodding the fatty around the ring for 12 rounds. Riveting!

What is pathetic is that you have previously claimed that Fury is too scared to fight Ruiz

I don't hate the Ruiz fight, not Usyk but id probably have him in top 5 of opponents, I still don't know how good Ruiz is, think the Joshua win flattered him a bit, AJ schooled him in the rematch and I thought Ortiz beat him, stylistically you'd think Fury would give him a lesson but Ruiz can get to you if your not careful as Joshua found out

But yeah Fury's a walking contradiction, newsflash

It's interesting that he is fighting Ruiz now, when Ruiz didn't look too good last time out, instead of facing the Uysk problem. I can't imagine he will get more for boxing Ruiz or Chisora than he would for facing Uysk.

I think if Fury swerves Uysk, even his own family, although they wouldn't say it out loud, will be thinking, internally: " he bottled it".

The casual fans and/or those that are a bit simple, will take his excuses at face value, but his peers will know the score.

Ali and Frazier faced off. Lennox and Holyfield faced off.

Mike Tyson faced off against Spinks, and signed to box a prime Holyfield, before going to jail, so no one doubts their courage and ability to back their words.

Fury, sadly, seems to have lost his nerve whilst his ego has grown at the same time.

He's bottled the Joshua fight a couple of times. It's strange. Today is the anniversary of Shane Warne's death. Unquestionably, one of the best, if not the best, cricketer of all time.

We know this to be true because he delivered against all his competitors on all types of pitches and conditions, again and again.

By comparison, Fury finds it impossible to set foot in the ring with Joshua, Joyce and Uysk. Yet Fury tells us he is the best boxer ever. Warne never viewed himself as the best cricketer ever. Different calibre.

Do people really believe Tyson is so far ahead of everyone that only Usyk is a challenge? Most on here have Ruiz beating Wilder, obviously he destroyed AJ when he trained for it, etc.
And why is Barry the all knowing figure on this? Everyone is saying they’re still trying to sort the unification fight out yet Baz says one name and the forum goes mad…

Concentrate on helping Joshua sell out the O2 Arena (Struggling)

Like I said before April 1st is a Jackson 5 concert lol.

No-one's going mad, melodramatic Mickey, calm down
I think we'd all just like to see Tyson Fury v's Oleksandr Usyk. That's the only fight that matters involving these two at the moment. Anything else is a major letdown and, unfortunately, it all feels a bit of a repeat permormance from Fury with regards to 'negotiations' for a big fight. Timewise, it doesn't really look like it's happening on April 29th.

Just because some people aren't buying what Fury is selling (guaranteed victories over slow footed boxers), it doesn't follow that we are all Joshua fanatics.

There just seems to be a pattern of Fury not being being able to negotiate fights with his best competitors, whilst they seem to have no problem facing each other....

Shouting from the roof tops that one is the best, rings a bit hollow when one, seemingly, ducks the best fighters. I suspect you know that, despite your loyalty.
