Terry is from Texas but now lives with family members in Ohio. Three years ago, he was in pretty bad shape, suffering from the same type of Parkinson's as Ali, and living by himself in Houston. But Terry had surgery about two years ago and received electrial inplants in his brain. I understand these have eased his tremors considerably, and he has regained some of his balance. Last I heard he was much better.

Brutality on a seemingly all time level. This is a phone booth fight, and both fighters taking their turn wailing away on each other. I think Cotto has the game to finish Castillo however, and after being hurt several times himself, stops Castillo in the 10th round.

Freitas tries to use his footwork and that awkward "boxing" style of his to keep the fight at long range, but Nazarov keeps the pressure on and finishes strong down the stretch to take the fight by decision or late TKO.

I think Casamayor would win. Aside from Santa Cruz, Casamayor usually gets tough breaks, while Pac usually catches breaks. I think Casamayor was a very good, possibly great fighter, and I think he could have won a decision (if the judges don't rob him.)

Always been a tough fight to call, but I think I give the edge to DeJesus' cleaner, harder punching.

DeJesus by fair decision in a competitive, part-tactical part-slugfest type of fight.

duran comes out of his corner like a tiger and whips in two handed assaults manny shoots out a left jab but is on a slow retreat. pac picks his game up in the third and some great combos puts a little doubt in robbo's mind.
great fight continues until the 8th when a right hook from manny is followed by a straight left of power to the chin of duran and he is down. beats the count but pacman stes him up for a right cross this time that settles the issue.

Hmmmmm... I think I'll go with the "upset" on this one. Vargas shows his greater all-around ability, outboxing Vasquez for long stretches, but Vasquez keeps on the pressure, lands some big bombs when and where he can, perhaps scoring a knockdown or two along the way, and eventually pulls the fight out with a late round stoppage.

Main event:
Another interesting match up. Pacquiao was not as cagey or well-rounded at this weight as he has been in recent fights, while Nelson was more perhaps stronger and more fierce than he would be at 130/135; though still, Nelson has shown some trouble with movement and southpaws. I think Pacquiao gives Nelson hell early, being quicker and more mobile, but Pacquiao fails to vary his attack and Nelson makes the adjustments, keeps the pressure on, and comes back late to take the fight by decision or late stoppage.

duran KO'D by manny in the 8th? yeah, why not this is the hypo match up game and pac might have done it in the 1st had i wanted him to.

manny is ahead against prior until the 10th when perhaps he wants to save a little for the last couple of rounds but anyway he slows up. prior has it his way until the the 14th. manny tries to step it up but just has nothing in the tank. prior decks pacman in the 15th to take the round big and wins a split.
