I favor Wonderboy in this one. Tyrone is super explosive. But, I believe Thompson should be able to keep a good distance from Woodley and pick him off as he comes in. Should be interesting.
Wasn't he 57 and 0 in pro kickboxing? A fair few saying he's the best striker in the UFC. Was really interesting watching Dan Hardy's break down of the fight, he's a special talent.Impractical Poster wrote:I favor Wonderboy in this one. Tyrone is super explosive. I'm not sure of his record, but I always hear how great a kickboxer he was. Now that he has been working on his wrestling with Weidman, he's turned into an incredible martial artist. Gotta give it to Matt Brown. I haven't seen the fight, but Matt is primarily a striking guy, and for him to beat such a decorated kickboxer such as Thompson, it deserves some props. Doubt it would happen again though.danamba7 wrote:Wasn't he 57 and 0 in pro kickboxing? A fair few saying he's the best striker in the UFC. You can't give Bisping no chance due to his great cardio and Romeros suspect fuel tank. But Romero is a better striker and a much much much much much much better grappler. Sure Weidman got him down last night but when he decided to wrestle it was one sided and Weidman is a phenomenal MMA wrestler. Bisping had trouble with old man Hendo and IMO Romero is better than Hendo ever was.thunderfromdownunder wrote:So, bisping v Romero apparently.
Anyone give bisping a chance. Romero has suspect cardio so Michael could potentially outwork him, but man, even at 39 Romero can just explode at any time
The production quality is really good aswell huh compared to boxing? Their marketing/branding is on a different level.clopixolacuphase wrote:Last night was the first time I sat and watched a UFC card beginning to end, live, preliminaries and all. I've checked out some fights in the past, bought some DVD's etc and have some knowledge about it, even briefly trained MMA, but never really watched UFC with major interest. With boxing being absolute dogshit at the moment
As a casual fan I found it really enjoyable. None of the fights were boring. I thought there was some great exciting moments. I don't really know who most people are and so it's hard to have people to root for and so there isn't the same emotional investment that there is in boxing, but I can see myself getting into it over time.

To continue our conversation from the other thread hear are major factors why I believe it would be bad business to cave to McGregors demands.lefty wrote:The production quality is really good aswell huh compared to boxing? Welcome friend! As you continue to follow the UFC, you will notice how the best consistently fight the best. It's a beautiful beautiful thing.clopixolacuphase wrote:Last night was the first time I sat and watched a UFC card beginning to end, live, preliminaries and all. Yes Bisping destruction of the world number 15, 46 year old semi retired contender in Hendo was something to behold. Ohh wait.Impractical Poster wrote:Welcome friend! Which is total fornicating bullshit.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:McGregor's counter left is world class boxing caliber. I expect khabib/Ferguson, McGregor/Diaz 3.

So you think Diaz deserves a shot over 2 guys on 7+ fight win streaks?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Okp4p1 wrote:Which is total effing bullshit.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:McGregor's counter left is world class boxing caliber. I expect khabib/Ferguson, McGregor/Diaz 3.

I'd rather McGregor vs Khabib.jujigatame wrote:I'm hoping the results of the last couple of weeks give us:
Woodley vs. Maia
Thompson vs. Lawler
McGregor vs. Ferguson
Khabib vs. Alvarez
Bisping vs. Romero
Edgar vs. Lamas
I'd expect him to get stripped at 145 if that goes down.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:McGregor's counter left is world class boxing caliber. I expect khabib/Ferguson, McGregor/Diaz 3.
