No need to be embarressed in the slightest. DeGale proved that he's above English-level, which sadly, is what Dilks probably is. I haven't seen the fight yet, but I feel sick for Dilks. He's a decent lad and I will be following his career with a very keen eye in future.

x2

Let's be real. Carl is domestic level, while Degale will mix in world circles in 2/3 years.

Dilks could go as far as a British title if he dusts himself off, has a period of reflection and trains hard. He has class, is a top bloke and deserves every success.

He's better than he showed on Saturday, DeGale was just too much.....

But he will be back, he has a lot going for him and is a decent operator. Good luck Carl..

Alrite guys read throw the comments and after a few days of it doing my head in an watching it back I think it was stopped early but apart from that I boxed awful an if I'm being honest I think I propably froze alittle! I'm more embarrssed about the fight more than anything I was able to carry on an didn't realise wot was going on with the ref at first that's why there was no reaction I thought I was getting a standing count then realised dnt get them in pro fights! Must say thow the kid has talent I only wish I could have abit more ti
e to show wot I had but it wernt to be!

Take a step back Carl, have a think about things and then come back strong.

Coming on here and being so open and honest is the mark of a real man, a true sportsman.

Win, lose or draw the respect many have for you because of that - me included - is worth more than any fight you'll ever win....

Good luck to you mate you deserve it....

It won't be much consolation, but the stoppage was terrible.

2 hours after the fight, is that a Boxrec record for a fighter to post after a bout?
