A good performance overall from Fury and showing improvement with every fight and another good punch up for Ch5 viewers. From a supposed one-off fight on terrestial, it's now two live saturday shows and talk of a third in November.

For the first time in quite a while work colleagues are actually initiating talk about a boxer and are clearly enjoying the action Fury provides.

One step at a time and I'd like to see him clean up in Britain, if the other contenders want to step up to the plate, but an EBU shot might not be too far off at this rate.

Fury needs to learn some self-discipline, both in and out of the ring. He still isn't in shape and he still makes really basic mistakes that are going to get him flattened against an opponent who knows how to counter well, such as overbalancing just about every time he misses with the right hand, and leaving his jab sticking out there while coming in (which led in this fight to his being nailed by Firtha's overhand right). Without that, for all his talent (which I do believe he has, especially the way he puts combos together and moves around the ring, not to mention his recuperative powers) he's going to lose out to fighters that are prepared to work on their weaknesses rather than accept them the way he does.
