Agreed i guess toney and botha were using more testosterone based supplements.
Some men just have good genetics that allow them to build muscle naturally and look good with hard training.
The BIG CLUE is the distended stomach which guys like Overeem, toney, Botha and Brock all had.
Just look at boxers with distended or prounounced stomachs that jut out and 9 times out of 10 it's STEROID USE. Larry i'm not trying to be funny but is that one of the reasons you wore your shorts up so high?

Larry I dont think the issue is you purely cheating, its more to do with the fact that you don't seem to care, I mean aside from the fact you've been caught and banned for 4 years and people are talking about you negatively. You dont seem to take into the consideration the opponents you had an unfair advantage over and also the fact you could of caused them serious damage or even killed them. You're taking a very selfish attitude and your argument of well Mosley and Jones jnr,etc did it and yet there hasnt been the same reaction. Well those particular incidents happened a few years back now whereas this is fresh in the mind. The majority of the boxing fans would be just as annoyed with Mosley and the like as they have been with you! The reason why they havent been punished to the extent you have is firstly they didnt admit to doping for there whole careers *which you should be commended for admitting by the way* and secondly they're massive names in world boxing and the reality is whilst its unjust is that big names and big earners will always have more power and ability to get out of shitty situations than the average person/ boxer. Thats just life generally mate! Its not right but thats how it is.
i do care and thats why i have been honest about what i have been doing for 6 years and when i say that lots are doing it. i am not saying this to take away to what i have done and i have apologised and will keep doing so but as u have mentioned the fairness in treatment is not there and for the book to be chucked at me when james toney for instance has TWICE failed tests which would have given me a life ban are given little punishment. I have done wrong and i apologise to the fans and my opponents but why cant they others do the same? and why cant they be treated with the same sanctions as me?? as long as this is not addressed then this will continue. and tha fact that micheal banbula was taking stuff should show people that it hapens at all levels
I genuinely do give you credit for coming on here after all this has come out in the open and also for admitting you were taking them for aslong as you were, to be honest mate the cheating element aside you're not doing your healh in the long run any good! Whilst these will give you benefits in mass and conditioning and whatever else in the long run this crap will really damage your heart or other bodily organs and you could end up having a heart attack at 40! You come across as a decent guy on the whole and you cant genuinely want to end up in an early grave all for extra muscle mass?! Seriously mate its not worth it!

Agreed, you just have to look at the amount of Pro Wrestlers who have died either from direct use of steroids or from related side effects and it's a pretty shocking number. I'm sure alot of MMA athletes will start dropping like flies in their 40's and 50's.

or if you dont die you end up needing a triple or quadruple heart bypass! Screw that
you admit to taking them for 6 years in boxing, but were you on them before that? i believe you are 32 now, 26 is a weird time of life to start. I dont believe you have taken them to make you a better boxer, i believe you developed some sort of 'physical appearance OCD' when you were probably a late teenager.
being in a gym where conversation about supplements is rife, then people start to advise about ways to satisfy self vanity even more.
so... were the drugs to help your boxing career? or were they due to your obsession with wanting to look more 'massive'?
Larry mate hopefully you can appeal and get this banned cut in half which would be a much fairer punishment, what you did was wrong but the blame lies with professional boxing and 1. Their inability to admit drug use is rife in the sport (there are so many high level examples it is ridiculous. Manny Pacquiao is suspect number one for refusing to take wada style testing as insisted by Floyd Mayweather, what does he have to hide?) 2. Do soemthing about it every other professional sport has testing why not boxing it wouldn't exactly be hard they just get someone else to do it!
You show me a sportsman who wouldn't gain a comptetive advantage by doing something illegal and knowing he will get away with it they would be few and far between winning is the name of the game, and if everyyone else is doing it then does kind of make it ok for you to do it, the alternative is to lose and that isn't really an option.
Last casing point is Khan Pieterson fight, despite whatever went on with the judges and at ringside during the fight, he tested positive in the build up to the fight, how come that wasn't mentioned before and why hasn't he been stripped of his titles yet.

Do you think the blame lies with the child who gets bummed by the paedophile, too? No? Thought not.
Do the authorities share some responsibility for not protecting the child though? (ala Baby P)

Mate that is just sick and you missed my point read the whole post.
larry doesn't seem to be willing to answer the tough questions. I asked him would he still be juicing and lying about it on here when asked and he hasn't answered but we all know the truth.
[Bit early for that type of post Macho, I dry wretched a few times reading it]
Professional boxing is run by a board of control, they should be producing a safe environment for boxers to compete in where boxers who are abusing the rules should have the book thrown at them (which has happened with Larry, but it isn't happening regular enough due to poor drug testing practices)
Child care/protection is run by social services, they should be producing a safe environment for children to live in and people who are abusing the rules should have the book thrown at them.
The board of control hold a large part of the responsibility for things like this as they're failing to provide a safe platform by pretty much willfully ignoring drugs cheats (implied by their inadequate testing procedures), obviously the cheat/abuser are also massively to blame (as I'm not trying to say Larry is blame free here, just that he's not solely to blame)
IMO It's like Cameron blaming Jimmy Carr for tax avoidance when it's Cameron (and co) who have the power to block up the loopholes

I see your point but ultimately the individual has to take responsibility don't they? Unless I read otherwise it was his choice as an individual to try and get ahead of the other fighters by using banned substances.
Also I understand your points about the relevant boxing boards need to get themselves in order. But how does this sit with the fact that now they have found someone cheating ie Larry and are giving him a strong punishment you are now suggesting he appeals and gets it reduced?! Just doesn't make any sense to me. I along with you what the boxing authorities to come out stronger admit there must be a problem (I have no idea how widespread or otherwise it is and won't pretend to) and bring in some form of testing across the whole sport, but I will want those caught to face strong punishments if and when they are caught not be able to appeal and get their 'sentence' slashed in half and be back in a ring shortly after.

Nobody to blame other than the cheating bum who took the substances, go look at athletics, there are small meets all over the world where athletes do not get tested, it is only when they reach a certain level that they are checked, same in almost every sport on earth, but you lot continue to blame anyone else but the cheat

Some people will always try and bend the rules into their favour in whatever aspect of their life (it's human nature IMO), that's why we have authorities and rules to try and stop this happening. If you're relying on the goodness of the human heart to rid boxing of PED's then you're living in a very idealistic and unrealistic world Taff.
Whether you like it or not the governing bodies have a responsibility to ensure boxers aren't getting unfair advantages, which it doesn't look like they're doing

You can't argue with anything I have said Larry, and deep down you know that.
For what it is worth, I completely agree with you that PED use is rampant in boxing.
Still makes you a cheat and you would still be cheating if you didn't get caught. Can you deny that? Don't dodge the question.
i think with a troll like you, you just seem to be getting off on teh fact that you can sit on your keyboard and get off on the attention you are getting from a man like Larry O.
The fact of the matter is your just a nobody and your opinion cant be taken seriously you just want to be as negative and lacking in integrity as possible behind your anonymous online facade.
Anyone who can't see this 4 year ban is sickeningly extreme and disproportionate is primitive in their thinking. The zealots at the BBBC just want to make a political point with the olympics around the corner and this honourable man has had his ability to make a living jeapordised.
Frankly I cant imagine any other boxer of such a profile taking the time out to listen to all of these remarks good and bad with such patience and class.
Perhaps he is better off in acting, but he should have a choice in the matter and the 4 year ban is ludicrous.
End of the day taking steroids isnt illegal ( altho selling them is - go figure ) its just he shouldnt be boxing while doing them. I think the subjects been done to death now. He'll never box again under bbboc, i dont know the guy but im guessing he'll end up doing security of sorts either legally or illegally.
Always pleasent when he came on here, unfortuanetly not enough going on in british boxing for him to be todays chip paper
Larry was a sprinter in the 100 meters was he not? Steroids are rife in that sport, so why anyone is surprised (just by looking at him, you know he hasn't got to that physique by eating chicken breasts and protein shakes - wake up.) that when he became a heavyweight boxer, he would stop is beyond me.
Did steroids give him faster hands, more KO power? The facts are he was found wanting at domestic level against fighters who haven't taken steroids. (McDermott and The Shrek guy whos name I cannot remember) Means that he would have probably beaten Ferguson and the other guys he beat without the drugs.
He should be punished - however 4 years is too long. What a load of bollocks - boxing in the UK has far more pressing concerns - like the amount of one sided fights that are being made up and down the country - thats a bigger disgrace in my opinion.

honorable man, are you sure ? whats honorable about taking peds and then getting in the ring and trying to knock someone out, as for the ban being ludicrous, maybe in your mind but for me it should be a lifetime ban for all who get caught no matter who they are.

What a load of garbage.
I don't care about attention from Larry. I just took issue with someone saying he should be going around talking to kids. The last person I would want my kid to take life advice from is a guy who spent many years inside for robbery and then spent 6 years cheating every day in boxing while telling everyone he was not cheating. The point still stands, he would have cheated his way to a British title if he could have. "Honourable man"

Not just a 33 year-old footballer but a convicted drugs cheat too. No, of course, no one in their right mind would argue that.
