He is not Pakistani.
He is British.
I'm surprised you made that schoolboy error.

Whoah whoah whoah paranoid Bob. I made a general comment it wasnt directed at u personally, I had no inkling u even existed when the remark was made,as anyone reading the page it was written on can see.....twenty six wrote:Los,

In this thread it was ok to describe me as a 40 year old shaven headed benefit cheating white van driving BNP member, and when I raised concerns, all that can be said is "oooh have we touched a nerve ?"
I then asked him civilly if the equivalent terminology was used by a white person against an Asian person what his reaction would be.
The clock's ticking .......
For the record I am a 55 year old, with a full head of hair, with a decent job paying my taxes, driving a BMW and (for my sins) a labour voter.
than u acted as if the remark was directed at you personally.
Your behaviour strongly suggested I had touched a nerve at u rather than the 1000 others who read it and didnt throw a hissy fit.
Since you seem to make things up and get paranoid let me tell you that I am whiter than the sperm of a white whale hence what the hell has an asian making such a remark got to do with it? Youd need to ask an Asian to find out how they feel. Since i cant speak for an asian person you'll probably have to let that grandfather clock tick .
The term "white van man" is a general term beloved of both broadsheets and tabloids to describe a certain type . It like most terms of this type carries a certain amount of truth mixed with exxageration....
Its very reassuring to know you have a full head of hair and drive a BMW. Thats quite an achievement.

I have to say a good witty response, but amazing how some people on here get so defensive about racism being discussed, yet can't seem to understand why Khan has a problem with racial abuse.mugabi wrote:Whoah whoah whoah paranoid bob. unlikely but.....in today's news the pakistani taliban attack shiite children...surely this must be the fault of the white race saf?safeerah wrote:
I haven't heard much from you , then up you pop with your stupid ignorant uneducated rubbish, I did not start this racism debate, just gave my point of view, which includes my view that racism is used in all nationalities, as I have indicated in other posts before, but the person envolved is Pakistani, Muslim and of brown skin, so it is unlikely that people of his own colour or creed would be racist towards him, is it not ?

I wouldnt lay the blame at the white race but if a person has the time to do their history research into the murky world of politics in Asia Minor, our past colonial antics in the MIddle East are very much what sowed the seeds of the creation of the taliban movement and events such as the attacking of shiah muslims in todays world
Colonial Britain brokered a pact between Abdul Wahab and the Ibn Saud tribe, theirs agent and the dual founders of modern day wahabism (an extreme political movement) as personified by the taliban who are its modern day activists (taliban means students in arabic) Britain created the state of Saudia Arabia using Wahab and the Al Sauds, and ever since the 17th century the House of Saud have ruled Saudia Arabia and attempted to export wahabism to other muslim nations.
The only places they have had success are Somalia and Afghanistan and the afghan taliban has launced a covert campaign to spread its political poison to Pakistan the last 20 years and that has been through the Saudia Arabian Bin Laden and his henchmen.....the root beleif of Wahabiism is that Their form of Islam is the only correct one in a world or many islamic sects of which the shiah muslims are the most deviant and hence their sworn enemies and they are to be killed without impunity as they are in fact unbelievers so that the "true" principles of islam can be established and the islamic world purified. Much in the manner of sectarianism in the past in Ireland and elsewhere.
So In a nutshell sectarianism in Pakistan did not exist until the aftermath of the Afghan-Russian war, after which it spread to Pakistan as millions of afghan wahabis had been refugees in Pakistan during that war, and they had begun a process of spreading enforcing their beleifs on others and trying to start a holy war (jihad) on the many shiahs they saw living peacefully with sunni muslims in Pakistan.... so the reason those shiah women and children were killed today was in large part because our 17th century Imperial country meddled in Middle eastern affairs to create this nation (saudia arabia) with a pact they could force their wahabi islamic beleifs on other "deviant" muslims, and in return Saudia Arabia would be a staunch ally of Britain, which it has been to this very day.
In the first Gulf War it was a base to bomb Iraq and will be in a future war with Iran.

Have to say I think OZ the origional HBO super series is by far and away the best TV serial ever. With Sopranoes second.Eddy wrote:Great show. Bought the box set. Best £50 I've ever spent.

Re: Khan on Ringside.
i didnt like the way he was butting into every question that was getting asked, brook was answering a question at one point then khan, the bible of boxing butts in and takes over the conversation,he isnt all that good. khan needs to get a reality check,he isnt the golden boy of boxing and i cant wait for brook to land that shot on his chin and watch him do that silly little dance he does.
Re: Khan on Ringside.
do you mean like khan did earlier in his career, gomez and lamond to name a couple all the blown up super featherweights he used to fight to build up his record, john murray mathew hatton and kell brook have been calling him out for years, tell me who else got a break like khan did? getting knocked out in less than 2 mins then ends up with a world title fighting some bum from the ukraine, difference is warren pushed khan and left brook and murray by the way sideThe Dark Destroyer wrote:I just hope Brook actually one day fights one of the top guys in his division instead of trying to build a career off another fighter from a lower weight class.fasteddie wrote:i didnt like the way he was butting into every question that was getting asked, brook was answering a question at one point then khan, the bible of boxing butts in and takes over the conversation,he isnt all that good. khan needs to get a reality check,he isnt the golden boy of boxing and i cant wait for brook to land that shot on his chin and watch him do that silly little dance he does.
Re: Khan on Ringside.
Kell has just got the style and size to beat Khan and pretty badly i reckon. I think Kell is a very very strong welterweight and Khan despite the weights hes done is in truth a lightweight if he was a drainer.
Still it would be great to see them take on each other and for ricky to be in the mix too if he can get past sechenko

Yeah an olympic silver medallist who's given quality fighters like M'Baye, Alexander and Witter the shits and has never been stopped or knocked down in his career.

Re: Khan on Ringside.
Another 'lets all bash Khan' thread - these are becoming as tiresome as many seem to think he is.
Look, the ringside thing the other night was a good old fashioned face off with both giving as good as they got.
I see Brook is the Froch figure here and Amir the Calzaghe of the piece.
Khan has made some mistakes in and out of the ring in the last 12-18 months, there is no doubt buy why he gets so much stick is really beyond me.
For the record I think Brook beats him for the simple reason that Amir has little or no chin - I hope I'm wrong. But lets see Brook fight another top 15er after Carson Jones and see how he gets on before we laud him as the second coming, a notion that others get ridiculed for applying to Khan.

Re: Khan on Ringside.
Also how you can say Bunny handled him well is quite frankly baffling.
Look at the attendances in Sheffield for his last two fights.
Whilst with Bunny he NEVER put him on in Sheffield - not even a ****in undercard !

Because a No 1 spot is only worth something if it leads to a title tilt.
WBO - World Bunny Organisation.
If he couldn't manoeuvre him there he was never going to manoeuvre him anywhere.

Re: Khan on Ringside.
Good post Mugabi and very correct, do you feel educated LOS, also the British forced Yemen to lease land out to the saudis, when the term expired, Saudi kept the land and refused to hand it over backed by the might of Britain, nearly the same thing happened with palestine. Why are we responsible for everyone who escapes from war torn and politically unstable countries ? Because we caused the situation with our foreign policy.mugabi wrote:i mean no offence LOS,but .....
