So what is the bee in your bonnet - this is a boxing forum and if I can't discuss this here then where can I? Wrap up you ponce.

I don't get on my high horse when you are ripping the shit out of the boxing lawyer - maybe you should get in a ring and show him how it is done - but being it is a boxing forum - this is the place to discuss such subjects as long as no-one is getting offended by it.
But for now, here are a three predictions I did make and have turning out to be correct a) He would lose very soon b) He will never be world champion and c) He won't get past European level. And don't worry, when his career is done and dusted - I'll be here to tell you again.

Ponce? Now now don't get personal. Why don't I get in the ring? Dear me.
My point is incredibly simple. For all the visionaries like you who predicted Price's demise, none of you got last night's result right. That's all.

You seem to have missed that point by a country mile.
You post shite, that I don't like, which is completely disrespectful of boxers, but you don't catch me on here whinging and skriking like woman about it. I don't catch you going on to 'MrPedigree' who is doing the same thing, and nor do I catch you on your high horse when people are slating Audley or Amir Khan with a lot worse abuse that I am posting.
Your point is invalid - and it actually reinforces my often stated prediction of Prices future career.
The fact that he lost so decisively to Thompson proves that I was right about where Price was going. I didn't (for the third time) think Thompson would win in the state he came in, but that he did just goes to show that Price was never going to be an undisputed world champion like many here were predicting.
So - for the third time Ian - this is a boxing forum - if you don't like what is being posted, then ignore it like I ignore your crap, or argue it with rationale instead of accusing me of being 'smug'
which is also a personal attack.

Well done Nostradamus. Obviously some sort of visionary. We should all be paying a lot more attention to your posts on here in future.
You've mastered the art of peering into a crystal ball whilst simultaneously blowing smoke up your own arse. Triffic.

Well, this is it you see, I don't think I am some sort of visionary. I am more than happy to admit that I thought Audley Harrison was going to be world heavyweight champion, thought Matthew Ellis was going to be the next big thing and another 1000 and 1 predictions that I have got wrong - and I have always said it.
What was great yesterday - is the most ridiculous hype train in the history of this forum has reached its final stop. A lot of you don't know as much as you think, all it would have needed was a bit of background checking of Price as an amateur of what would have happen when he stepped up as a pro - the same that happened when he stepped up as an amateur - so why most of you fell for it when you must have known what was going to happen then I don't know.
However, in saying all that - he is still British and Commonwealth champion and can make good money on the back of that and if it came all to an end tomorrow. He has had a career he can be proud of.

Personal attack?

a respected poster was making a valid point about smug people jubilantly celebrating the fact that they vaguely predicted the demise of a touted prospect, something which most people are tired of.

You would say that - you thought Price was the next coming of Wladimir Klitsckho!

Never mind - we all get it wrong sometimes!
And I don't know what's vague about my predictions which were
a) will get knocked out soon
b) won't reach European title level
c) will never win a world title
In fact, how less vague can you be?

hey, don't stop at me, you should find everyone who had touted Price and send them individual messages, I'm sure they'll continue to be impressed with your incredible visionary skills.
And I have already posted in this thread admitting I had been a Price believer anyway.

So what's your beef? When Amir Khan got knocked out in a round - we didn't have McNeilley
- captain of the smug police - trying to arrest everyone on here the morning after.
And the whole point is it didn't take 'incredible visionary skills' all anyone needed to do was
look back at some of Price's fights of what happened when he stepped up as an amateur. Anyone who knows anything about boxing could have predicted it - which goes to show many on here don't know
what they are watching. And this is a dedicated boxing forum - not the snug in the local where
you would hear the kind of shite touted on here.

Wounded here.
Complete rubbish, it was not a great shot at all, it was an ear/carotid connection, similar to khan via garcia. Unfortunately for price, cracking fella that he is, but if you are an aspiring world heavyweight champion you hold that shot, you might get dazed but you hold on and tough it out. If you get caught you get up, its what champions do. The price bubble has been burst..klitschko would havetakenthat shot and held on, chisora would hold a shot like that all night, thompson got caught with a better shot earlier in the fight and he blinked! Thats what separates contenders from pretenders. Lets face it, thompson was brought over to fall over, past his peak, beenstopped before, a name on prices resume, not in particularly good shape, heaviest for a while. But price could not take a decent clip.
im gutted for big dave, but lets be realistic and forget our clouded judgement because dave is a nice guy. Tysonfury has been hit harder and better and got up to win, thats thedifference. Its not how often you get caught its how you deal with it.
Fury is our best hope now, he boxed well last fight, ingood shape, moved well, in and out an away. Price got too close too soon. Thompson should havebeen on theend of the jab for at least 6 rounds until he lost his will and his heart.
Im gutted price was found out, its all about levels.

Fat Git - I asked if anyone who is delighting in their own genius in predicting Price getting done soon had a bet on Thompson. The reason I'm responding to you and no one else is because you're the one who answered!
And whilst I might make the occasional disrespectful post, I suspect you have the upper hand there.
Regardless, if you want to come the c*nt with me, do it by PM.

"Do it by PM" ...... Why?
If youve got something to say do it in public so we can all judge and enjoy the banter.

It is his speak for 'carry this on publically and I'll get you zapped' which is fine and dandy - I would rather not be zapped of course along with all the decent posters that have magically disappeared but between me and him - I'll be the one who gets banned if this carries on, I think the editor of boxrec news is safe.
