Before the fight in the hotel I was speaking to a cockney fella, who sponsers Price, and he told us the fight with Chisora has already been made for May time.... then it was meant to be over to Klitschko ha ha ha

Good luck with that one! I think if Del-Boy comes in with his head on and in good shape he can take the fight away from Price and keep busy inside Prices reach he will take the British and Commonwealth titles off him.

Needs to improve his defence! I think someone like towers then chisora then Thompson is more what they do. Thompson will want more money next time!

Felt like Errol Christie v Jose Seys... Anyone remember that one? Errol was fighting up a division that night... Me and my mates could barely talk on the way to school the next morning.

Price needs to see beyond this. He's an exciting fighter who seemed to slowly be walking his man down.

Does nobody heere blame the ref? Price was in Liverpool...

Ref should have counted to 8...looked in Price's eyes...wiped his gloves...checked back in his eyes...wiped gloves a second time...Checked Thompson was in a neutral corner...winked at time keeper...called men into the centre ring...helf Thompson off...for a few more seconds and...

...ding ding...

Price is only 29 plenty of fights left for him. If I was his Team , would just give him a little time off and then go back and try and figure Wth happend. They should take a lower level fight in few months so he can get this last fight off his mind, he should just take like few weeks of n get right back to work. Plenty of guys have bounced back from this type of defeat

Price fought a stupid fight, no jab, no distance, flailing away like two middle aged mums at a school disco.

Just because Price had a bad night, maybe exposed at that level, it doesn't suddenly make Fury a world beater.

Precisely! It's not an either or, my take on it now, is that neither of them are going to go very far. I'm sure Price can improve his defence and jab, but eventually he is going to take a shot, and from that evidence, when he does, it will be game over.

Fury seems to lack so much basic technique, and I'm just not sure he can learn enough to ever be that good.

Well it's obvious that off his absolutely incredible performance against the world-reknowned Kelvin Johnstone that Fury is the second-coming of Muhammad Ali!! What footwork! What speed of hand! And those clever combinations! Stupendous!
Tyson Fury is ready to fight both Klitschkos right now! ;;-)

As for Price, although English, he may still turn out to be something more than a punch bag. If you watch the tape again, I think he may have absorbed a right hand on the chin from Thompson earlier on without a wobble. So, there is a chance he isn't quite as bad as he looked. I'd have him back in the gym soon as possible, sparring with some good bangers. Then when he feels ready, sign him to meet Fury. The Irishman's camp will probably leap at the chance this time. Then, all it will take is a Pajkic-like overhand right on the chin and Fury will find himself on the canvas. Given the right referee, and a couple of apparent knockdowns from shoves or cuffs on the ear-hole, and Fury will be waved out.

Of course, there's always the chance that Fury will land first and put the kibosh on Price. Either way, it shouldn't last more than three rounds. :OhYes:

price now looks like he's a chinny boxer, so you may as well get him to sell out a venue and go for revenge, if Price wins then its all back on as before , if he loses then there's always the British and Euro titles to go for.

This, all day long.

i think Price will fight Thompson again either on some card in the States or if it makes more money over here then Thompson would be happy to come back for a bigger payday I reckon.
Also being clubbed behind the ear doesn't make you chinny, not in my book it doesn't. Same people probably said Khan was chinny after he got blown away by Presott....he didn't look very chinny against that Argentinian guy though did he?

It's clear which way you'd like a Fury v Price bout to unfold. Price is still a good prospect and a very classy fellow and I hope he does well - it is likely that he'll get hit hard again though before he gets a title shot (against someone who can hit very hard). Fury is very young for a heavyweight prospect and looks to be training with more dedication. I hope the 2 will meet and make a lot of money; it should be a good bout and I'm sure it won't be a one horse race.

Price isn't necessarily all that chinny, the punch that Ko'ed him was a hard motherfucker that landed flush, any heavyweight would have problems with surviving absorbing it.

Even though Price may not be so awfully chinny I have to ask did this fight not expose him as pure rubbish? It didn't look like Price had Tony figured out for even a second of the fight, Price wasn't ever in control for those two rounds, it would be utterly foolish to believe that a second meeting between these two fighters would end in any other way than another Tony win. This all being said Price isn't an "excellent prospect" he's just some recent Ko victim that's very doubtful will ever amount to anything. The wise thing for Price to do now would be to stay out of the ring for a while, find himself another trainer and then attempt to launch a comeback in half a year, 9 months or so. But yeah this guy he can't just change trainers lightly like he's changing a pair of socks, no what this guy needs to do is to completely reinvent his boxing style and technique, failure to do so will mean certain obscurity.

Any HW would have had problems absorbing that? Not sure about that.
I'm not missing the rest of the points don't worry, just picking one part of the post (sorry to be annoying).

Ya, they all would've had trouble surviving a glancing punch from an average puncher.

Price has a glass jaw, that doesn't mean he isn't a world level contender.

He's just likely to get knocked out a few times.

Price might have a good chin, he got knocked down from a punch round the back of his ear.

And had a granite chin! Just because your not Chuvalo does not mean you have a crap chin. Nothing wrong with Lennnox's, though.

That's the thing with some people and chins. If its not ridiculously good, like someone like Holyfield or McCall, then its crap.

Lewis had a good chin and shipped a lot of heavy shots throughout his career. It's not like he only got hit twice during his whole career is it? There was, and still might be, a video on YouTube which was fairly long showing nothing but Lewis taking big punches off opponents.
